It only makes sense.

Makes it easier for the UFC to market those fighters, which in return helps the fighter get more fans and bigger pay days.

Like take Khabib for example. Man, nobody likes this guy outside of his hardcore fan base, and his name certainly isn't helping the situation. Fans like fighters that they can relate to, and i'm afraid having a last name like nuunununnumvvhgeige is like huh what to most people.

If his stage name was something like "Kelly Jameson", now that would be bad-ass, and a name most Americans can get behind.

I know WWE is down right now, but please don't come here and try and make our sport more of a circus then it already is

come on really.

khabib last name isn't the reason he not the reason he not fighting conor it cause conor scared to fight him.

Only if it tricks Conor into signing a contract to fight kelly jameson, a 25-0 lw prospect from dagestan will I support this.

Emelianenko is hard to pronounce if you didnt know it.also cro cop is a nickname.im still not sure how to pronounce Filipovic.

In Russia it would be seen as treason if Khabib went to Kaleb Norman or some shit. He would lose many many fans over this, not to mention lose all respect, credibility etc. In the words of Marlo:

He might be on to something..

i mean, CroCop worked.

We should just start calling Khabib as tiramisu?

ts is right, but thats why they have nicknames

i worked at a super duper exclusive golf course, and i noticed everyone had these awesome names. it helps

movie stars, businessmen, athletes, they all do it

but in some cultures ud be shunned

OP sitting here like
Who is Khabib...

Does this mean Joanna Champion has to find herself a new name?
