UFC Fight Pass actually kinda sucks

used to have it many years ago back when they still showed i think it was either DEEP or PANCRASE events with english commentary. that was pretty cool and worth it to me alongside the random bjj tournament. hated how they showed old pride events, completely butchered, neutered basically. stopped using it years ago, never have felt the urge to re-join, will absolutely not. much rather watch ONE, or spend money and support RIZIN, now available on fite.tv for the low price of 29.99 you get TWO events. go get yourself some RIZIN today!

I don't use the app much but on my laptop it is fine. It's a little annoying that I have ESPN+ and Fightpass so have to bounce back and fourth depending on the fight. I also have not had any loading issues, they load pretty fast and the times I've used my phone I have had no issues

If you are trying to watch Song vs Sandhagen it isn't working because it aired on ESPN+ so it takes a while for it to be available on fight pass because of their deal. If you ever get that error message it's because you need to go through ESPN. Which sucks but you can't blame the UFC for that. ESPN has rights to the fights for a certain period. The one complaint I have is the search function really does suck. Sometimes I will have to adjust the way I search for fights. Sometimes doing last name vs last name isn't enough where as other times putting the full name is too much and you have to narrow it down to last name vs blank and see if it pops up.

Well damn, someone did enlighten me! Another one higher up too, but this was more in depth. Had a feeling ESPN+ had something to do with it, but man the extent of it is nuts...

Never had loading issues. Just a large chunk of events missing, and I'm glad other people have had less than satisfactory findings with the UI.... I couldn't even explain some of it.
 
Had it for years, and it does my fuckin tits in.
 
I dont use it to feel less guilty. I use it so i dont have to pop dvds in and out when i want to watch a fight. It has its flaws but it is absolutley worth the price paid. Anyone who doesnt think that,is a casual,and poor.
 
Fight pass is awesome (here*) - the tech level is ok nowdays (though they are completely unable to fix some mistakes like JJ Aldrich vs. Courtney Casey being unable to play, even though it is there as a separate match**) compared to shit earlier days. And it has very cool grappling stuff which alone would be worth the montly fee :)

But at least on Droid Smart TV the search function sucks fucking balls, though - you cannot return to your earlier search results after watching something and have to enter the search terms again. Or am I incompetent.

*PPVs come available a few days (or at max two weeks - have not been really paying attention) after the broadcast on the streaming service which shows them as part of the regular deal and non-Fight Pass prelimns, single matches of non-PPV type come about immediately - which is probably ESPN-locked in the States?
**yes, I understand I must be the only person who has tried to watch that as a single match and made a fixing request, Dana's priorities are probably in something else than personally helping me out on this
 
romanian fight pass is the goat, never had an issue with it.

The interface is terrible. There should be a list of events and fights EXACTLY like fight finder or tapology or whatever. But noooooo instead you have to specifically search for each fight and there's no master event list or fight list. It is ok, but it also sucks at the same time
 
For years now I have technical issues with FP. Its mostly stupid stuff like I pay the annual fee and the next time I log in it tells me I have no subscription. When I check payments I see that I have paid but FP says no. Then I try to pay again and it says I cannot pay twice. I go back to the account and it says I have no subscription.
 
It’s pretty decent, my biggest issue is that if Tsn for example is carrying the fight night then fight pass will have a blackout.
 
I had a friend tell me he was going to sign up and I warned him the UFC is a garbage company. He signed up and then UFC removed a bunch of stuff he signed up for because of some network deal (I think this was around 2018). He was not happy.
 
It'd not perfect, but nothing is. It's not terrible. It's the non UFC content I'm most interested in. Being able to go to one place for everything is convenient
