Leg locks in mma are to be used for sweeps. Dudes have to stop committing so much.

Anyone who knows my pbp post history, I’ve been saying this for years.

leg locks are are a dangerous game in a fight. You have both hands occupied and they have both hands free to punch, defend, and scramble.

Leg locks have such a low percentage of success, it still blows my mind that anyone still uses them against legit competition.

I’m not saying they never work. I’m saying the gameplay should never be to commit once the guy defends well. Just sweep or disengage and stand.
