UFC Fight Night: Machado Garry vs. Prates

got to say Giga is a good price. The fact that he's gone 5 rounds before and maintained good steady cardio tells me he's a different breed of athlete. Onama gassed vs Nate Landwr in a 3 rounder. this is a misprice. Even if it's 3 rounds, I expect Giga to win round 3 against a gassy Onama, which ups his percentage of winning.

I’m on Giga too but his gas tank ain’t anything special either. He also got the absolute shit beaten out of him in that 5 Rounder.

yeah but Kattar in that year was still elite, he was robbed slightly by Emmet the following fight. He had that banger with Max. Giga still landed 35 significant strikes in round 5 that’s more than what Onama could do.

Giga koed Edson under 3 rounds too.

David is getting dropped by 8-4 newcomer , beaten by Landwr who’s gone to ww3 with Darren elkins, these are different levels.

It comes down to rather Giga has deteriorated and Onama has jumped level.

Landwehr beat the absolute shit out of Elkins and that “banger” resulted in Kattar nearly getting murdered. Giga may have landed 35 SS strikes but they had next to nothing on them and never had Kattar in any sort of trouble.

Onama hasn’t had a decent performance against anyone in the same league, even against Jonathan Pearce he did just enough. It would be different if he was destroying the mid level guys, but he doesn’t

Onama has a great win over Santos. Id be more interested to play him as dog tho. As a fav he has had some poor performance like that Nate fight. Might be a mental thing.

I'm on Flick and Hassanzada. Elder at this price is crazy. He's 2-2, both him and Hassanzada lost to Sadykov, but I thought Hassanzada looked better. I see this closer to a 50/50 fight, and at these odds. All day ill take the dog here

Caveat for the Santos win is that Onama was getting his ass handed to him up until the KO, so even then he's not looked dominant in a good while.

On other side he showed how deadly he can be against a dangerous opponent. Onama overall seems very raw but theres some natural stuff in there. If he manages to hone those skills there might be something in him. Oddsmakers and bettors have noticed this too and he is bit overpriced in every fight including that Nate the train fight. Ridicilous odds vs proven veteran.

Wouldn’t bet on flick …but good luck

And I think the other guy is the guy who just got put in jail with a 400k bond for being a pervert with a 14yr old minor - his career done …

Giga is just the complete opposite of Santos in terms of approach; Giga is far better at avoiding danger. I'd say David has a shot, but he has to fight the perfect fight, i cant see him winning all 3 rounds. This card doesn't have many good dogs, i predict a pro favorite card, one of these favorites is bound to drop the ball, i think David is the odd man out of all the favorites.

Literally half hour after I made the bet the news came out on the douche getting arrested. Good timing on my part!

Regarding Flick, I don't see the big advantage Schnell has. I think it's also closer to a pick em fight with a slight lean on Schnell for strength of schedule. That said Schnell lost to Durden last out and Flick submitted him.

The line is way wide and am happy to play the dog here. Win or lose. That's my read.

I may play a small hedge on Schnell ITD. As that's his PTV in my opinion.

Might play Flick small, Schnell made of glass and gets finished a ton plus he just unretired for this fight which usually is a bad move

Schnell usually lives and dies by the sword, and doesn't see a scorecard. There is a chance that he comes back and fights overly cautious/safe after that "retirement" last fight though.

Are there examples of active smokers reaching top in sports? I tried googling but only got some dudes from the age of dinosaurs and Michael Jordan who apparently smoked once or twice lol.

I want to be on Prates but now Im thinking if its too much of a hinderance.
Ive never smoked myself so maybe Im just massively ignorant or plain dummy here.

There's been world level boxers that have done it. Definitely more of a con than a pro though.

Ricardo Mayorga was the undisputed Welterweight champion.
