You can only fight who the UFC puts in front of you.

Still it’s a shame that such a great performance was against Hooker that had no business returning to FW.

I think this is a big step up for him.

He does have something of a speed, footwork, and offensive diversity here though.

I do favor Kattar for his experience(esp for 5rd fights), boxing, timing, and durability.

It comes down to if Kattar can cut off the cage, wear on Allen with dirty boxing/clinch elbows, and smart pressure.

I made 1 bet on this card, Means/Griffin goes to decision + Arnold Allen Over 0.5 Takedowns. Let's get that takedown Arnold.....

If you have the money, it's a great strategy

Then once you hit your prime up the activity and be right in there for a TS without much damage at your very best

Look at how it worked out for Islam

I'm worried about how this fight changes for Calvin once his nose gets broken. Plus he's always second, he needs to be first here and jab, not let Allen bring the fight to him.

I mean it's a cliche here to say cuts aren't damage and people cut easy. But it's one of the few concrete methods to assess damage.
The scoring criteria is actually Impact not damage. Damage is a sub category under the guidance to score impact.

Damage does not score any higher than diminishing an opponents energy, confidence, abilities or spirit.

One strike causing a cut, should not out score someone punched all over the cage and reacting defensively to those shots. I would rather take an elbow (you rarely even feel the cut) over a big straight cross.

I feel like Allen will put himself on everyone's radars tonight. Kattar is decent but I feel like he's a gatekeeper now.
Should have been on everybody's radar after he completely handled Yusuff, almost knocking him out multiple times.

Even more so after he blasted Hooker in under a round.

Arnold Allen actually made the walk?!?! This is his 10th UFC fight but only the second time that he has fought more than once in a year.

Reminder: That not only Spider Silva is boxing tonight vs Jake Paul, but also another UFC legend Uriah Hall will soon box against ex NFL star Le'Veon Bell.

Been waiting a while for this moment. Arnold Allen , your time is now! (Or maybe later , I don't know).
