Less excited overall. But I still get amped for certain fights, such as Poirier Gaethje. I also think Dillashaw/Garbrandt is one of the greatest matchups ever.

I don't follow WMMA so my interest has been at an all time low the last few years. I respect female athletes its just not of interest to me. For many years I wouldn't skip a card, went well out of my way to move plans around PPV events.

For the last two years I cherry pick which PPV events are worth watching live. In many cases I'm fine just watching a Fight Pass replay of the individual fights I'd like to see.

We're well ensconced in the circus-show era of MMA. I'd much prefer it be run like a sport. If it were taken seriously, thats a seat at the table - it would have a much better shot at legitimate growth. Currently the UFC is largely ignored save for a few events a year where the general public is aware of a side-show spectacle.

Nah.

Theres just alot more fights these days. I learned to skip cards years ago.

Im basically a casual with a ton of knowledge.

Every couple months a fight comes up that i must see

Its been that way my entire mma fan career. . Which spans half my life.

I'll watch any damn MMA fight. I love the sport. As far as the UFC cards, I watch but buy much less frequently. I would say about a third are worth the money. I do appreciate all the fight night cards and whatever free fights they give us.

last year was the same as now. we need to go back a few years before the hypejobs/trashtalk era.

nowadays i only get interested in a couple single fights per year, never watch a whole show and skip 95% of ufc because interesting matchups rarely get made and good fighters who dont trashtalk dont get promoted.

People would be interested again once Conor comes back

First off, UFC isn't dying--- my biggest concern is BMMA and can they, unlike SFORCE, sustain a long term success as MMA s #2 organization or even build on their roster at a rate where it's considered a progressing outlet vs. a regressing one like Strikeforce who had plenty of talent at the time , it was a nice competitor to the UFC - and most people were able to watch on CBS or Showtime.

If Bellator is or becomes another pipedream then hell- let the UFC absorb them and the quicker the better.Hw (they attained the services of some UFC vets but can certainly help a fight night main card)- Lhw ( we can see just how much the likes of Bader and Phil have gotten better or not + king Mo- and another ufc vet in Quinton.Wed also see Chael at 205).
MW- theres no doubt in my mind that Mousasi could come and pick up where he left off and win a UFC title....and how good is Raphael Carvalho ?---- I think he's certainly a top 10 UFC 185er but how good besides that? May 25th is a pretty big deal for BMMA and the MW title fight should be a big interest to any fan of the sport.MmA fans already think that BMMA s 170 division offers a plethora of top talent.

At this point, IDK how realistic Bellator s plans are and just as important- the longevity of these plans.
If BMMA isn't the real deal and operating on borrowed time then I'd love to have Gegard and Rory back and with DC not getting younger and the status of Bones in purgatory, we can get Bader back as well (can't believe I just put positive twist on Ryan being that I've never had much of the positive nature to say about him).
Besides Rory, we can see how good the likes of Lima and Page are......and say what you want to say about him but semtex is the furthest thing from " boring" and some awesome possible matchup s will come attached with his name.

The sport has turned into diluted crap. A bunch of Conor wannabes with half the talent.

Waaaay less. But that hardly indicates UFC is dying, as they've made it clear I'm not their target audience.

The hardcores have spoken, anyone who enjoys ufc now is a filthy casual that has never trained a day in their lives.

Less to a degree that it actually surprises me.

There was a time that I never missed a card. I haven't watched an event live in months.

UFC has put together some fairly good cards lately that have fallen apart in the last week. I wouldn't say I'm as less interested now as I am moreso deflated from a half year of constant disappointment and just less excited for every card no matter how good it may be.

My interest is definitely still there but the hype and excitement are long gone due to constant injuries cards always falling thru etc.

I used to be wayyy into boxing and a casual MMA fan, then i became wayyy into MMA and casual boxing fan, past few years i've switched again and became casual with MMA and way into boxing again.

Boxing right now is better than it's been in like 10-15 years, and better than MMA has been at any point. My man Conor is the only thing keeping MMA afloat. MMA needs to do away with organizations like UFC and whatnot and model itself more after boxing. More weight classes, more belts, more freedom for fighters to fight who and where they please. Let the fighter's promoters negotiate for them not 1 man Dana negotiating for the whole sport.

If the UFC just became a championship sanctioning body like WBC or the WBA is for boxing then that would be huge for the sport. UFC could have their belts for their weight classes, and Bellator could have theirs, etc.etc. Fighters have their own promoters and make their own contracts and everybody fights everybody, belts get unified, mandatory number 1's are required or stripped, etc.etc. Even a real lineal championship could be created which would be awesome for the history of the sport. I'd be way into MMA again if something like this happened for the sport.

A man can dream.

Fight nights have been good considering the pacing is so awful.

But only 1 ppv has delivered like it should. Both on paper to build anticipation, & the fights staying in tact and being exciting.

When TUF started, all long-time fans hated it because suddenly MMA forums got flooded with new casual know nothing fools.

We called them TUF noobs.

Now these TUF noobs are some of the most knowledgeable posters here with 13+ years of watching the sport.

Yup. However, there is a HUGE difference between the vast majority of the "TUF Noobs" and the Conor/Ronda fanboys. Along with countless other differences, one big one I would mention is the fact that most of the fans TUF brought in were fight fans. Many were drawn in from the bloody brawl between Forrest/Bonnar, whereas Conor and Ronda fans are more about the drama and memes and shit. Not all of their fans, but more than "some".
