Seems like they're missing a trick here. Conor away out of the spotlight training hard to avenge his loss. How is he doing, no-one knows. Just let him disappear until the weigh in. There would be a sense of mystery and intrigue. It could be a great comeback story. It could have depth. Instead they want to parade him around and leave nothing to the imagination. Shame.

The UFC is really fucking up by trying to stick it to Conor here.

"A great comeback story"

lmao

They could also easily go there and film some promotional material.

An analogy: Chevy doesnt bring out the hot new corvette and NOT show it to the public. Your comment is a huge miss and I'd bet you had terrible grades in school...........

Yeah I agree. They could have done the tour without Conor.. Nates got enough personality to carry it himself, along with the rest of the stacked card. Im sure Nate would have called him out for not showing up

Not if Jones does a Mortal Kombat fatality to OSP Saturday and fights DC at 200. That fight will promote itself and is bigger than McGregor Diaz.

Absolutely brilliant. Just disappear until the weigh-in. We don't need promotion. To hell with that. All these years of promoting fights
has been a big waste of money. 'Why's that?' Well, because Conor doesn't want to show. Conor not showing = promotions are a
big waste of time. Now I get it.

Maybe this will be Dana's unannounced surprise fight that the original fight is still on, but now as co main.

You could film Conor having a dump and there would be 500,000 views on youtube in a week... possibly an hour

They could but its just about the principle now. The said they offered him a private Jet and the fly all of is equipment out.
Conor has made them a lot of money but he's not the MJ of MMA he just got handled by Cancun Nate !

Your assuming that Conor still wants to fight Nate in the main event.

A Conor "rocky montage" in Iceland. they can have the mountain being his punching bag, chasing chickens etc.

I dont feel like the new corvette analogy fit in this situation. Conor mcgregor is an athlete, not an annually released product. Showing off the new "him" cannot be done at the press conference it can only be done at the fight.

Why not just set up a screen and have conor on a live feed during the promotional tour. That way he says what needs to and doesn't have to trek from iceland to the US.

But does his contract say that though? There are some UFC contracts floating around out there and they do not mention any promotional obligation, just fight weight, opponent and which event. And similar things, but nothing at all about having to show up for promotional tours.

And Conor could just do what he's contractually obligated to do.

Source? If it wasn't in the contract wouldn't Conor (& Nick Diaz) have grounds (breach of contract) to sue for pulling them from shows for not showing up to pressers?
