    Didnt fade into obscurity after losing their belt or didnt start the decline of their careers when they lost their belt.

    JDS is the only one that comes to mind.

    well couture in the sense he won a belt so many times. you could say the same for bj after losing the WW belt.

    frankie's still going strong.

    bendo's definitely still in his prime

    machida dropped a weight class and still seems very prime

    franklin took big fights and remained relevant at least as an entertaining fighter

    cain retook the belt

    (lesnar definitely faded)

    (hughes seemed sort of irrelevant after losing to GSP but still had some big fights)
