If they were within a few months (2-3) of their next birthday, I rounded up.

Curious as to why you rounded up? If someone asks your age and you're 3 months away from your birthday you don't tell them the age you're going to be, you tell them the age you are.

It's to average it out more accurately. Technically, I should be rounding up at 6 months or closer, and rounding down under six months. If you're six months from your 30th birthday, it should be counted as 29.5, but I've been counting it at 29. Does that make sense? All the lists I've done will show a slightly lower age than what it should because of this, but we'll get the general idea.

Conor the youngest champ of this era, better resume than Khabib confirmed! {<Mcgoat}

What are you trying to show by doing this? (genuine question)

Are you expecting to see differences between the weight classes or is purely descriptive.

I think the average age is always going to be somewhat around 30, that's when most athletes peak in any sport.

He's 32. Whittaker who's been a champ in this era is younger than him and right now is still in his late 20's. Sit down.

It stemmed from a discussion about peak/prime fighting age. I did HWs initially, then thought it would be interesting to see the differences between weight classes. Surprisingly, MW has the highest average age. WW is just under 30, and it (expectantly) gets younger as you go down in weight.

Tony will never be a real champ. just a one-time paper champ. too old now

As per TS and OP, Pulver and Pettis were 26. Conor was 28. Who's younger?

Reminds me of this.

Yep. I've been saying that for a while, but his true believers still think he can win a belt.

Man you don't listen or just hear what you wanna hear. THIS ERA, Pettis was LW champ like 6/7 years ago. This is the new ERA , dominated by McGregor.

That's fair.

New era at LW? He has 1 win at LW in his UFC career. Yeah, domination.

Could you guys not tell I was trolling from my first post "Conor, youngest champ, better resume than Khabib confirmed"
