I think UFC profits have been rising for years? If so then they are doing the right thing as owners.

Which is not to say that it‘s good for the fans, which it isn‘t. UFC turned into diluted commercial shit for the masses.

The UFC also was the one who fought the hardest to keep going when Covid hit. First with Fight Island to get away from US restrictions than resuming business before everyone one else.

That was no pussy move considering the histerics of that era.

so there is no point to try. dana is just talking out of his ass to promote his company as being that big, but of course it is not. they could have done some of the things you mentioned but definately not to compete with big team sports, that just sounds silly
