The first-ever UFC show in Russia is set to happen as early as September, as the event has already been scheduled in one of the biggest arenas in Moscow, RT Sport has learned from the venue.
Staff at Moscow's Olympiyskiy Stadium (Olympic Stadium), which has a capacity of up to 35,000 spectators, confirmed to RT Sport that a UFC show is booked at the venue for September 14 and 15.

The UFC has yet to announce the news, but the possibility of a show in Russia wasfirst raised by the promotion’s president, Dana White, at a press conference following the UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden, New York, back in November 2016.
Khabib vs Conor?

Lines up with Conor not wanting to fight until September.. Fuuuck! He can be stripped and fight to get the belt back in September.

Kabob vs Connie in Moscow.

Part of me wants to see this fight, another parts wants Fergie to spoil the UFC's plan.

Don't think it will be Khabib vs Conor, that's a PPV level card and the time zones don't align up (would have to be like 6 AM moscow time to be primetime in the US).

Will most likely be Fight Night cards like most of the eastern fight cards. Still very excited to see this tho.

Fight Night card in 35,000 capacity arena?

They're expecting big numbers for their first card in Russia. And being a Fight Night doesn't mean its going to be a C-level card. Khabib could still headline, or some of the other Russian stars.

You think that's more unlikely than holding a PPV card 5 AM in the morning local time?

Who says it has to fill max capacity? Saitama Super Arena holds 36,500, and the UFC did an event there with only 8,500 attendance....10k before that, and 12k before that.

UFC booked the stadium in Moscow. Too bad they wont fight for 9 months, but there we have the match ! And Conor will be stripped

but tony is going to be the one fighting conor after he smokes khabib.

Why would he be stripped?

He will defend his title against the worthiest challenger. But Tony yes, should be stripped. There is no need to keep him a fake champ

This.

Would love to watch Khabib smash the UFC''s Conor hype job.

Would also love to see UFC plans in general go the way of PVZ or Sage Northcutt, because of all the hype jobs.
