UFC BJJ: Road to the Title

The 10s of viewers for the other grapple hug events musta sparked the idea.

This is my dream. Combat grappling:
1. Fight starts standing
2. No standing strikes allowed
3. All ground strikes allowed
4. No points
5. Win is either by KO, sub, or decision. Decision is awarded on damage/positional dominance (in that order).
6. MMA gloves are worn

Combat jiu jitsu is a thing but it is palm strikes only/not a big fan. Punches/GNP being allowed completely changes the game and would flip the BJJ world on its head. I'd love to see the end result. Be careful of the Dagestan school under that rule set...

Why do you want strikes or gnp allowed?
It just limits the grappling to lover skill level and in worst case we will just see lay and pray and stalling. Wearing gloves, we will see bad glove grabbing and using opponents glove to trap their hands.
I guess you want leg locks banned too?

Why would I want leg locks banned?! Hell no. All subs allowed in all positions.

Nah, GNP does the opposite. It exposes games that rely on imaginary conditions ("don't do the most obvious thing on the planet in this position please"). GNP lessens the possibility of LNP for sure, definitely not the opposite as you're suggesting. Bullshit 2-inch strikes = bullshit amount points because they aren't doing significant damage so that cuts that off if that's what you were worried about.

The glove thing... don't feel as strongly about that. Yeah I see your point about the downsides of it. Only reason I said with MMA gloves was to avoid bare-knuckle GNP modifying the game too much.

I see, you want a totally different sport and not submission grappling or BJJ.
It’s almost like you want to create new rules so your bois can win, because with gnp allowed, one doesn’t need to know how to pass the guard or play the guard and suddenly stalling and sitting inside the guard becomes a “dominant” position.

Yeah I want a new sport. BJJ with GNP would be amazing/I'd watch.

Has nothing to do with whatever bois thing you're talking about but rather to see what wins in actual combat scenarios. If GNP is so caveman/simple then it should be easy to beat right?

lol at "stalling" / sure I'll "stall" a guy into being unconscious and bloody with GNP

Is any testing included? Cuz she sounds like she have more testosteron in her body than average guy...

It will bring the reality back to the buttscoot to legwork fanboys. Full closed guard will come back with a vengeance.

UFC BJJ...oil checks & eye pokes

It's safer.

I'll tune in, CJI is still the king BJJ tournament, but this should still be good

I want to improve at BJJ by watching tournaments but one odd thing is, elite level BJJ is so different from ordinary hobbyist BJJ it can be kind of hard to learn by watching

Then why not just also allow striking on the feet and just call it MMA?
