UFC BJJ 1

I watched the 3 title fights and the Bella Mir fight all winners were dominant. I enjoyed it and will be watching future events for sure.

The only thing that annoyed me was announcing every winner as "Winner by Submission" well no shit Sherlock lol say what the submission was like "Winner by submission heel hook or darce choke" I hope they fix that moving forward.

Do they not keep track of records in BJJ? Noticed no records were mentioned in the introductions (only watched the main event).

Would be wild 😅

”He has a record of 1789 wins and 247 losses!”

BJJ athletes tend to have a lot of matches. I know kids under teen age that have long over 200 matches already.

Tappology lists like 40 matches dating back to 2016 for him, doesnt sound that crazy.

They are listing only the big ones there, but for example Rerisson doesn’t even have a tapology page.

I missed this last night unfortunately but were there actually that many people tuning in live? That’s a lot more than I would’ve guessed.

Event link is still up on the UFC YouTube page. It's at 830K views the day after it dropped. Not great but also not bad - CJI last year had about 1M views the day it dropped and almost a year later it's at 2M views.

I skipped the prelim matches and only watched the 3 main event matches. The Tackett match and the Musumeci match are worth watching for sure.

"UFC everything"...yeah, the UFC isnt a monopoly.
yeah, it actually doesn't make much sense. 'ultimate fighting championship' implies what it was originally, that it's the best of all disciplines, this BJJ thing is taking components away. not so ultmate anymore, really.

Frank teaching Bella the intricacies of maneuvers ya'll ain't even head of yet.
