While I can understand maybe two investors making a purchase for an organization, I can't see a group of them purchasing just one, especially a sports promotion. It just doesn't happen. Primarily because when it comes to managing, then infighting and perhaps subterfuge at some point.

Well it is a wait and see. I think $4.2 billion is grossly exaggerated. It probably a lot closer to $2 Billion at the most. Yea I know what Forbes ranked them, but no one has taken Forbes seriously in nearly 10 years.

Some companies are owned by thousands upon thousand of people and groups.

I agree with Forbes estimates being bunk, but where are you getting YOUR numbers from?

True, that many people own stocks and make investments, but not for sports organizations. I did a comparison with other sports organizations like MLB, NBA and NFL. For example in the NBA. on the low end the Bucks were sold for $550 million on the high end the Clippers sold for a ridiculous $2 Billion.

With the NFL the Browns and Bills were both sold for $1 Billion each.

These leagues have been around for decades and are the most popular sports in the USA. There is just no logical way that a small organization like the UFC can shore a $4 Billion dollar purchase. I would venture it was somewhere between $1 Billion and $2 Billion.

UFC pretty much owns a sport.

That means something.

I'm just a little curious on how much it actually sells for.

The buyers might see something that us "in the dark sherdoggers" don't see.

UFC is international. UFC also has 10x the athletes of the Browns or the Bills. You're just pulling shit out of your ass.

Groups of investors just doesn't happen... So like 99% of corporations are imaginary?

Huh? Are you saying my numbers are false?

Hopefully, you have verified by this time.

Look the UFC has around 400 fighters, but the lowest paid rookie in an NFL jersey get's paid over $450k the first year and their highest paid athlete has four year deal worth $25 million. The UFC's highest paid fighter just made $1 million and their lowest paid fighters make $15k or $20k.

I thought it was more fair to use a franchise rather than an entire league when making comparisons. Obviously no number of investors will ever buy out the entire NBA or NFL organizations.

Am I saying your numbers are false... well, you're some guy on Sherdog refuting the official statement. I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

We've already addressed that. Read the entire thread before you comment.

Ah you mean how I own shares along with millions of others in some of the biggest teams in the world? Oh you don't know about that? Yea like I said it's all imaginary.

And since you do not even comprehend what I'm talking about here is something much simpler, fan owned teams.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fan-owned_sports_teams

I won't tell you how to invest in the big teams because it doesn't happen for you.

The Oakland Raiders are owned by nine different people/groups that each hold a percentage so that blows that point out of the water
As far as comparing the Clippers $2 billion sale, they are 1/29 of the NBA so that doesnt really compare to an entire sports league like the UFC
