UFC 325 play by play

Let's see if Lopes learned from the last one and uses way more aggression this time. He needs to border on reckless here, make Volk not have a choice but to be in a dogfight.
 
This event feels like a Fight Night instead of a numbered event. I kinda felt the same way last weekend.

I hope the new Paramount+ deal doesn't make every event feel like a FN.

I understand the Fiziev bet, but what was your thought process on the Hooker bet?

If it was Hooker's performance against Gamrot, then that makes sense since people keep using that fight when capping how Hooker will do against other wrestler/grapplers. Gamrot doesn't do damage, which is the main difference, so Hooker just needed to keep defending and he'd be fresh.

i thought hooker looked decent against tsarukyan, and i went big against BSD on poirier and moicano as well.
 
R1: Volkanovski (He was busier and landed a few big shots during the last 30 seconds. Not a dominant round, but kinda clear.)
 
Coinflip round.
Either 2-0 Volk or 1-1
Not even sure who I'd score it for.
 
R2: Lopes (He was more active, and Volkanovski was less active than R1 and kinda gave the round away even though he did land a couple big overhands that sounded good but didn't rock Lopes. Volkanovski giving up the TD at the end after a failed guillotine wasn't a good look either.)
 
R3: Volkanovski (A close round that'll I'll lean toward Volkanovski, but he took his foot off the gas durint the second half of the round. Lopes dropped him during that time, but it probably wasn't enough to win the round cuz he stopped throwing his head and body jabs in this round.)
 
Should be Volk's round. That flash knockdown seemed pretty minor and not enough to win it for Lopes.
2-1 Volk. Possibly 3-0, but I'd lean towards 2-1
 
Man, the livebetting glitched and Volk was +275 for a few seconds. I tried to nab it, but I wasn't quick enough.
 
R4: Volkanovski (Neither guy landed a lot, but Volkanovski clearly landed the better strikes. Lopes looked like he was in a trance this round.)
 
3-1 Volk. A chance it's 4-0
Either way, Lopes needs a 10-8 or stoppage to salvage this fight. It's possible, but Volk seems pretty dialed in.
 
I glanced at R5, but not enough to see who won it. I already give Volkanovski the win within the first 4 rounds. It played out similar to Volkanovski in his trilogy against Max -- he just did more.
