Hot Take UFC 324 is bloody stacked!

Ditto

I remember the days when even the prelim card was must-see.

Like, it was only ok to skip the Facebook early prelims.

Thats about it.

Nowadays you can tune in to the main card 1 hour late and still be ok. This card is no different.
You guys say old school but sound like casuals only watching big name fights.

Back in my day we got to see Joe Son get punched in the nuts repeatedly. EVerything else now is weak in comparison!

"Big Name" is a modern fan's thing.

Back then we watched GOOD fighters fight against other GOOD fighters.

Talented Martial Artists; Wrestlers, Strikers, BJJ Guys... we see how they put in together against each other.

Fighters were truly talented. We watched the best fight the best.

The big names thing is such a modern media spin. I blame Ronda and Conor for this. The UFC moved towards "Big Name Fights"

They released elite grapplers like Okami (while Okami was top5) and I believe Dana released Shields and Fitch after 1 loss?

Dana doesn't want BEST vs BEST.

He wants Big Name Fights.
Dana is now adding a finish bonus and doubling bonuses to $100K.

That's because you casuals just want to satiate your blood lust. Adrenaline Junkies.

This sport is no longer about Martial Arts. As a 2nd generation martial artist, it's hard for me to invest in WWE gimmicks in Professional Mixed Martial Arts.

A great recent example is Paddy being in a championship fight... or the UFC trying their hardest best to Make Sean O'Malley a thing.

I would love to go back to the days where the BEST FIGHTERS were the "Big Names".
