Gotta get your reps in. If you’re gonna use something in a fight: make sure you practiced it well. Rubber guard is legit if you know how to play it. But he blanked.

Carpenter wins a 5 rounder


3 round fights basically don’t even count

The reason tons of Dagestanis can remain undefeated on the regionals, or like Mokaev amass massive amateur records of 25-0 or so, is that body clinch grindy wrestling style is just great for winning two out of three rounders. The ones that don't have as good cardio fall off at the top, and even for the best of them cardio is still seen as the largest question like with Khamzat. They're an interesting puzzle to solve.
