UFC 297

At least main event wise should be better than 296.

Wow, I did not realize this. What a monumental fight for such a shit card. Good thing I’m not paying for this bullshit.

Could that be why they sat those two so close to one another and staged the fight in the crowd at 296?

If Allen/Movsar was moved into the 3rd slot it would look a little better, but yeah losing Rakic/Jan was a decent blow. And there's now getting around such a subpar co-main.

As is I'd like to see them replace the Magny fight with Jourdain/Woodson. Main event is awesome though, so I think it'll probably still sell pretty well ppv wise.

Well Mike Malott is the Canadian fighter with most potential right now in the UFC, could crack the top 10 who knows. So makes sense to give him a spot on the PPV. We've already seen Jourdain lose multiple times in the UFC so no point giving him a big push right now, may as well keep pushing Malott along until we see where he levels out.

The card was ok at first, but losing Ulberg and the the Jan/Rakic fight definitely watered it down a lot.

I really wanted to go to this one since it will be the first live event in Toronto since the pandemic, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Over $500 for a single nosebleed seat is crazy. Plus the card is mediocre anyways, there were fight nights in the past few years that were more stacked than this.

The kind of card that you wake up and stream on Sunday over morning coffee.

Damn they really don't want Strick to get much PPV cut.

CoMain is only a reminder that W135 is dead (for years)

What trash
plus.....Ullberg is out too which is a damn shame.

Main event should be very good but the rest of the main card is, I agree, lacking.
Arnold Allen I'd like to see if he can bounce back convincingly from his recent decision loss to Max.

I see the logic, although I believe Jourdain has a much better chance of getting into the top 10 than Mallot, but I'm just talking aesthetics. If you're trying to make a ppv look more appealing to the consumer then putting Magny on the ppv, just before Raquel Pennington nonetheless, is borderline gross.

Maybe for the ticket buyer in Canada it's better though, I have no idea how big of a star Mallott is there.

Edit: *Spoiler* Magny 29-28
