Open your eyes, rewatch the fight. He was swinging over the top of Marvins head, missing shots. hitting Marvin's fists when he was guarding high. Roman never went first and was getting bested in the exchanges especially after r1.

He probably deserves the ranking but it just shows how low level and poor this era of MW is. Izzy and Rob are alltimers but the rest of the division is ass.

Marvin wouldnt be able to D level cardio kickbox to wins in that golden age of MW post Strikeforce merge with Chris, Luke, Jacare, Yoel, Saucy, Lyoto, Kennedy, Bisping, Anderson (was past it but still pretty good in mid 2010s), Rob but in this weak era its enough to be easily top 5

For reference a 38yo Derek Brunson was top 5 and in a title eliminator last year. Nearly KOd Cannonier too. And Brunson was a 10-15 guy back then.

The whole division is aged and trash. Honestly frustrating when it was one of the best at point in time.
