UFC 272 not looking good

I'm most excited for Umar's fight. Dude's a future champ.

Looking at the fight card and I don't think I'm excited for any of these fights. The main event is mildly interesting because of the fake grudge but stylistically it will be something like Mas vs Usman's 1. But then moving down the card I can't find a reason to give the slightest thinnest fuck about any of these fights. I think I'll just check the results in the morning, which is usually the case with 90% of these UFC cards nowadays

I would switch the early preliminary for preliminary, but other then that, good fights..

Not every event has to have ever world changing implications. Put the fighters in the cage gimme the link and let’s go
I don't think so either. I'm not one to complain that a PPV doesn't have title fights. If I like the fighters it's a good card to me. So what about the rankings. I've never been concerned with who the media or fans say I should watch as I make up my own mind for who I enjoy watching regardless of relevance.

That being said, I'm not buying another PPV unless they reduce prices or take away the paywall exclusivity. No card is worth an effective $83 (ESPN+ plus base PPV price).

I'm very much looking forward to the card. some legit entertaining mixed martial artists all over the main card, maybe you just are not as big of a MMA fan as your presence on a MMA forum would indicate?

Watching Mas get wrestlefucked for 25 minutes should be funny though, we'll see his hopes of a TS vanish
They vanished the moment he got knocked dead by Usman. If by the grace of god he somehow beats Colby i guarantee Usman is gonna suggest a 3rd fight with him for another easy payday, except nobody will be interested

I do not understand sherdog's mentality on fight card strength. A bunch of nobodys? Great fucking card. A card with a recognizable name on every bout on the main card? Fucking garbage.

I bet people would praise it more if the prelims and the main card were switched. I don't know who the fuck any of the ESPN prelim fighters are.

I always stand by the Wikipedia rule

If the fighter doesn’t have a Wikipedia page, my interest in watching is very little

Awesome card from top to bottom.

WTF is this thread?

Solid because there's so few fights C- or below, still a bad card when nothing is above a B+

Good average for fights, no real main event or fleshed out main card in sight
You absolute filthy casual! Lmao. How dare you have a different opinion for what constitutes a good PPV than me. This is a super duper above average PPV card.

Colby - Masvidal
RDA - Fiziev
Barboza - Mitchell
Holland - Oliveira (onesided fight, but interesting to see how well Holland will perform)

Turner - Mullarkey (maybe)
Rodriguez - Xiaonan
Elliott - Ulanbekov (maybe)

These are probably the only interesting fights in the event. It's definitely a weak PPV, but whatever.

Main event isn't very interesting but RDA vs Fiziev and Barboza vs Mitchell are good fights

Also interested in seeing Umar Nurmagomedov

It's a decent fight night. The two main fights should be entertaining. Mas is getting smashed and the two Rafaels make for an interesting match-up.

The rest of the card is not PPV worthy

Hardy being on the main card is the only issue

It shaped up better than I expected but it still a fight night card.

Will watch it though.

It's a good card, but not $75 PPV good. Buy count will likely be shit for it.

273 is a maybe, and 274 is a buy for sure for me.
