UFC 257: McGregor vs. Poirier 2

on the under 2.5 for both main and co-main. i think we most likely get 2 violent stoppages.

hooker v chandler o/u is only 2.5 rounds at -112

think that’s cake unless chandler shits the bed
could easily see chandler going for a TD as thats gona be his only method to beat hooker. Hooker catches him with a dirty knee and its over. not worth the risk especially when chandler is a midget and hooker is 6ft

Anybody else like Shoeface NSC at -145? Brad isn't much of a KO artist and I highly doubt he subs ACJ.

I don't like this price that much but i do like shoe face here.
I think the extra little juice is worth the chance for a push, if Carlos ends up losing a stand up fight.

I know Mcgregor is a much different fight than Hooker, but I just can't forget how much Dustin got hit in the Hooker fight, that fight was way closer than it should have been and Dustin got hit so much in the first two rounds, which is basically where Mcgregor's chances for a finish are. Mcgregor has to have a speed/power advantage over Hooker, although if it hits round 3 Without Mcgregor completely dominating the early rounds, live bet on Porier may be the play

I don't think I've ever seen Dustin look that shook at a press conference.

Interesting. Maybe he's just tired and I'm reading too much into it.
he did describe the event as a bunch of stupid questions haha, that and the fact it was pretty much a mcgregor praise session. "yeah dustin how about some charities and oh Conor McGregor could you tell us about your vision of art? do you imagine your grandchildren swimming in cash too? do you cry of joy?" i'd be sick of it too

Doesnt Mcmann struggle against half-decent grapplers, turning 40 propably wont help

The fight will take place on the ground, but I'm personally worried Pena spends too much time there in bad positions. She barely squeaked out a fight against someone not known for top control in Nicco Montano. Not to mention 135 isn't Montano's weight class IMO, and McMann has better grappling than her. Pena seems to be an opportunistic scrambler, but that seemed to be the case against those more willing to let her out of bad spots than what McMann will want to.

Okay, so who is the mush?

We have Ribas, McGreggor, Rountree, Evloev and Tsarukyan.

One of them is losing, who will it be?

Mcmann does have much better grappling but I would argue Pena has the better ground game, mcmann gets subbed alot.

Nasrat's hands are faaaast. Khalil is a flake but his opponent is such a can lol. Don't know about the women's fight. Evloev and conor should roll.

rountree. i can't see why hes -330. mentally walked away and now returning for what? he seems like a cool guy but these odds are gross

I think the play here is pre bet McMann and live hedge bet Pena after rd 1. Pena often gets taken down and loses rd 1 but she is always working from bottom position and somehow manages to out cardio her opponents, so could very well be the case against the 40 year old McMann, who also seems to have mental lapses as she tires.

Rountree is allergic to strong grapplers and Marcin isn't one. Rountree's power and striking should be on another level here. Not to mention Marcin's low fight IQ. Going off memory but I believe he tried to counter a thai clinch with body punches before being KOed in his last fight. Something a thai boxer like Khalil should be able to replicate with ease. All that said I wouldn't be surprised if Rountree mentally flakes and ruins my parlay.

Just thinking out loud, is McGregor by decision a very unrealistic outcome? If it goes past three rounds, i could definitely see it happen, Poirier slows down quite a bit, but not as dramatic as Conor. McG mentioned he was looking for octagon-time, maybe he will fight more paced.

+700 most places

Seeing posts like this make me regret having anything on Rountree though. Talking about depression, weight gain, and inconsistent training make it hard to have confidence in the guy. If he mentally shows up this should be a cake walk for him. I'm curious to see him weigh in, hopefully he has gotten his conditioning in check.
