227+228 have to be the WORST back to back PPV cards on paper EVER. At least modern era post UFC 100...

Yay so we get double rematches, one being an insta! Still not sold on the TJ vs Cody rematch but least can expect a war.

Cards are just awful now. Ive been a hardcore fan for over a decade and now ive become a casual viewer. It's usually the other way around. Very rarely do i bother watching more than three fights per card with any interrest. Do ten stacked cards a year and penalize obvious last minute fake injuries or failed weight cuts

Definitely a far cry but I have no desire to watch GSP fight Nate. Will still order the card.

I'm going to a bar to see it just because of the main event, but this card is shit. Having an uranked women's SW fight on the main card is a fucking insult, and needs to be taken off now.

Lopez v Simon needs to be moved to the undercard with Munhoz vs Johns being moved to the Main card.

I'm going to 227. I was certain they were going to add more substance to the card when I ordered, but it actually only got worse.

The goof should pay up if he wants to make this stuff happen. That PPV would've broken 1M, maybe even 1.5M. I'm not really sure how all the sponsorship stuff works, but 1M x $65 = 65M (that's not including the people who pay extra for the 4K) you pay GSP 8M, Nate 5M, TJ and DJ each 1M, the rest of the card probably gets ~3M. That's 18M to the fighters let's round to 20M just to make my math easier, and bonuses and whatnot. Company still pockets ~45M in this case, on just the PPV.

With there current card they're probably looking at 150K buys and that's completely optimistic. 150K x 65 = 9,750,000. With about ~3M going to the fighters, the company only ends up pocketing ~6,750,000. I'm no ground hog expert, but wtf UFC? How does it not make business sense to pay your stars. With these numbers even if the UFC paid GSP and Nate 10M each, they'd still profit ~40M, which is still almost six times more the amount the UFC would be profiting off the current 227 line up. All while saving face with the hardcore fans and delivering a spectacle for the casuals.

I really have no clue what these people are doing. If I'm way off base with any if this, please enlighten me.

I personally like 3 of these fights.
Not exactly the same level, but it is (by far) not the worse card they put on a PPV.
