his wrestling hasnt been that impressive as people say to be honest. hes got awesome wrestling but he wasnt bullying dudes at HW when he was younger, and at 205 guys that had height and length on him like gus and jones gave him fits. stipe is 6'4 240 and is strong like an ox. stipe's takedown defense isnt god-level tho either, i just think his NCAA background and the size/strength difference will be enough for him to keep it standing.

Same ideas.. he won't be able to wrestle him out of the fight at best a takedown or two for points but he isn't keeping him down it will be either an ugly clinch fight or Stipe shuts that shit down and punches him in his desired mid range.

Stipe TKO my pick or worst case an ugly decision.

Decent poster, going for that superfight hype.

To me it can't be a superfight not even a year ago I saw one of them brutally finished / concussed and crying on the floor. (I know I know vs cheater but still it happened)

Now he is even older and moving up giving up size and everything and I'm expected to think it's SUPER why cause he defeated Volkan before this, no hanks.

super fight would have been JBJ vs Stipe. Or MM vs TJ.

This doesn't have that same feel. It's a great fight nonetheless, but its def hyped up too much as if its the best HW to ever fight vs the best LHW to ever fight. Neither man lays claim to that.

This doesn't have that same feel. It's a great fight nonetheless, but its def hyped up too much as if its the best HW to ever fight vs the best LHW to ever fight. Neither man lays claim to that.

For TJ he has a bunch of recent loses that I can't put him in that he needs more W's in a row and yes it can be a proper super fight.

Resume wise Stipe has done it.. the new record for defenses he set it's impressive in the HW division any way you slice it only problem is he didn't have the fresher of the opposition but hey it's not his fault it's the current landscape what can he do. Thinking about it DC ain't helping his case right now.. he won't get the proper respect and love even if he finishes him.

Promotion wise have at it go wild call it best vs best HW/LHW for the baddest mo'fo out there but us the hardcores should know whats up completely.

ya i guess the TJ one isn't even so much one either but, thats definitely more close to a superfight than this.

UFC has pooched it and has never had 1 aside from BJ vs GSP. Wish they had gotten Aldo vs Pettis together during their haydays.
