Now it is all Khabib. He has a no-name opponent, the co-main is only marginally drawing WMMA fight and the rest of the card is full of nobodies. If UFC 223 does anywhere near respectable PPV numbers, then Khabib is a real star. Of course there has been additional publicity for the event thanks to all the drama, but he is the only name on the card.

Yes, indeedy. The last card when he was co-main actually drew surprisingly well, but it was hard to tell as we do not know how much the main event generated. We know UFC 189 revealed Conor to be a PPV star as well as internet success, and UFC 223 will reveal the same for Khabib, who was the second most searched fighter this past year.
