UFC 221 Weigh-ins

Sorry is this has already been asked, but were there no early weigh ins for 221? As what was with the towel holding at the televised weigh ins? I thought they were just ceremonial these days and they do the official weigh ins earlier?

Was that towel holding just for show for the crowd? Or were the ceremonial weigh ins also the actual weigh ins?

It was old school yesterday, those were the actual weigh-ins.

Hopefully they’re back to doing it old school. You could practically see the “this is stupid” expression on their faces during fake weigh ins.

Because of the fact that Australia is at the bottom of the world, so they already have an advantage due to the low altitude.
I learned that on Sherdog yesterday.
