I have never done a weight cut, I don't know how difficult it is to reach a precise weight. But looking at the weighin results of the other fighters, being around 1 pound below the limit is nothing unusual.

Gillespie 154.8
Green 154.2

blach could be 185 if he wanted, green has been 145 most of his career, and gillespie is just about on weight there, so..

I did say in my original post that I thought Rochold was on the way to winning that fight regardless.

For the Romero fight, I am not saying he shouldnt have attempted a takedown, I am talking about the manner in which he attempted it. It was clearly a mistake to lunge in from the outside without any set up or distraction. It was a rookie mistake. Because of his status, it can be forgotten that Weidman only has 15 fights. If his body holds up he still has a long ways to improve and I believe he won't make the mistakes that he made in the Yoel / Rochold fights again.
