UFC 204 - Bisping vs Hendo II - England

Really think they are off on the Struve fight. Struve has been KO'd by Reem, JDS, Nelson, Hunt, Browne - they are massive punchers Dan O is so far from them in terms of both technique and power. Outside of Rosholt who wrestlefucked which Dan O won't be able to do, Struve has always struggled with excellent/powerful strikers. Dan O does not fit that criteria. I question if he is even UFC worthy.

Yeah I remember Jarajis Danho (worst heavyweight ever to fight in the UFC) arguably won the first round against him. Danny O does have power and has improved his wrestling but I don't think he beats Struve, plus he is going to gas bad if it goes past the first.

Just scouted Roberts/Perry. I expected to find value in Roberts after I rewatched the Lim fight and saw that the only thing Perry really had was the overhand when Lim threw that disgusting uppercut that nobody who knows how to throw uppercuts would ever even think of throwing. But then I got to Roberts and his striking is awful. He has absolutely no concept of manipulating his rhythm or timing to throw off counterpunches, he just launches face-first into every terrible shot he throws. He nearly knocked himself out on Dom Steele's fist throwing a front kick from the wrong range at a poor angle, then did it again a couple minutes later. Maybe Perry gasses and Roberts is able to get the better of him later, but I think there's a good chance Perry sparks him out in the first. I don't see much value in this fight.

Davey Grant is going to maul Stasiak. I'm pretty tempted to throw a unit on Tumenov + Grant + Alcantara + Struve + Mousasi @ +600. I don't normally have this many strong leans. Just need to watch tape on Alcantara Pickett.

Why do people get so defensive about their picks?! Somebody sees it another way and people refuse to see it. Someone needs to play devils advocate to your play and offer a different view. If you're not willing to listen why even read posts?

I know i dont post much but i also know im not the only one sick of reading the same thing over and over again. How many pages did Betch/Eye cover as an example and bisping/hendo now. We get it the first time you post. No need to post it another 9,000x.

Isnt just this card. Its every card where only 1 or 2 fights get discussed to death because 2 people see it different and go on for pages at a time repeating the same points. People argue so hard before the fight trying to prove theyre right before it even plays out.

The betting threads were not always like this. It's mainly with new posters and guys like Brick Top. You can tell how young and naive they are by their posting style. There is a reason that my post about him still being allowed to post despite his previous banning has a ton of likes. There is a reason a mod came in and supported it. There is a reason a lot of veteran posters quit posting in these threads. It's the same reason I've had several PMs bitching about how the threads are now. I know I rarely even follow them anymore unless I have a slow week at work.

You can see how obsessive he is to try to make his point in this thread alone. He randomly brings up the fight again and again when it's not even being discussed anymore. The irony is that if he loses the fight, he bitches and moans if someone rubs it in after his loss and acts like it's not a big deal. You can go back through these threads and see how many picks his so sure on that lose as well. Who gives a fuck if he sees someone at -400 vs. -200 when he's got murdered on other fights where he sees a ton of value? Over the years, I've never seen someone who acts like him (and there have been many) that turn out successful at betting.

It wasn't the best decision out there, but I don't think it was a huge robbery. Anyone who bet Pickett was the right side as that fight was too close to be on Rivera as a slight to moderate favorite.

You could be right but I am very confident Struve takes this (well as confident as you can be on a Struve fight)!
