Reporter: "You mentioned UFC 200 or Madison Square Garden. Can you see a scenario where you'd fight on both?"

Jones: "Man, that's some serious activity. No, no, it'd really be one or the other."

UFC 200 is July 9. MSG is November 12. 4 months apart. But along with UFC 197, that'd be 3 fights in 7 months for Jones, which is very active.

Do you think he'll stick to this, or could things change if the UFC ponies up? If he only fights on 1 of these 2 cards, which do you think it'll be?

They're planning an upstate show. They'll just use him for that. He said he'd rather do an upstate show than MSG anyways.

He can't fight in July and November?
April and July and November. And according to him, no. But maybe he's just thinking ahead into negotiations and trying to get more money in the event that these opportunities present themselves.

I highly doubt he's going to fight 3 times in 7 months, yeah.

Can't imagine they'd do a PPV upstate in Syracuse or Rochester.

Right?

Dude's been off for over a year, why would a fight in July and November be too much activity?

He should be asking for both.

EDIT:

Then again, he will be fighting three times in the course of like 8 months... still though.

Ordinarily they wouldn't, but since it's near Jones's hometown, they could make an exception. UFC 172: Jones vs Teixeira was in Baltimore Arena which isn't really a major arena.

He is fighting Cormier at UFC 200, wait and see after saturday night ;)

i also am sensing this, as long as something unforeseen doesnt happen.

OSP could somehow land a deathblow outta no where.

I hope Jones just obliterates him tho. Retires him.

I can't see Jones missing the first NY MMA card. OSP, DC, and Rumble would be a rough stretch for less than a year though.

That's black on black on black on black crime we're talking about.

Retires him? WTF is wrong with you.

OSP steps up short notice against arguably the best fighter in the world and you hope it ends his livelyhood? MMA fans...

It's all contingent upon how Saturday goes.

Well its nothing against OSP, i just want Jones to look like a beast.
