How is this going to play out? What is Conor going to say? He just got finished by the dude, Diaz can neutralize any shred of smack talk with minimum effort. If Conor starts saying that lame "energy efficiency" stuff, or talks about weight, then Nate just has to bust his balls for making excuses. No matter how things go down, the pre fight is absolutely NOT in Conor's favor, and that is a huge part of his mental game.

Is he gonna say he won the first round? Diaz- "who cares, you lost the fight". I am super interested in seeing how exactly Conor promotes himself in this situation.

Like when washed up Charles Barkley wanted to play some pickup ball in Space Jam.

Hey can I play?

It surprises me that people think the trash talk leading up to this rematch will be epic. Nate isn't going to say more than "fuck you" or "I'll beat your ass again" and Conor isn't going to trash talk the way he did before because Nate already whipped his asss

I agree. There really isn't much to say. Conor is a great self promoter, but he's in a bad spot for this fight.

Efficency, movement, timing, speed, precision, power, pool noodles, mindset, belief, my left, stuck in mud, I'm a proize-foighter, Coach Kav, Artem, Ido, Gunny, Paddy, Uncle Frankie, Deez Tings, touch butt, Dee, Me Ma & me Da, fat whiskey, dat money, El Chapo, clean off, heads, deserts, Mc Mansion, Vegas, Dublin, legions of fans, steaks, predicitons.

And gazelles.

How about what happens if Conor beats Nate.. Do we get another instant rematch and hold up the FW division even longer? What if Conor loses to Nate again and is on a 2 fight L skid..

Hes gonna give props to Nate then emphasize how he is the money fight as always. Explain how he could have done things differently and that this will be a different fight.

Point to make is money will be his cornerstone to talk about.

Sort of low in the entertainment value, don't you think? I do agree that this is probably what will happen, but it sort of takes away what Conor is known for.

On the other hand, if he does somehow beat Diaz without the mind games, it will definitely go a long way to proving his legitimacy as a fighter.

No sir, the ufc doesn't like Nate like that.

The fights gonna sell regardless this time. He just needs to make sure he wins this time.

There really isn't any way they can spin it in Conor's favor. Unless your a moron

Maybe he comes out like he did in the Aldo fight the second time where he really didn't have much to say.

Conor is going to say some outlandish things and profess that he will take Nate's head off, just maybe not with one shot. He will still call Nate a sell out for working with kids which was always terribly nonsensical. He'll talk a lot about the first round and claim to have been winning the second even though he wasn't. Just look at what all of the Conorites are saying in hear and that is what he will say.

Nate will come back with "Well who won the fight."

Conor will pout and then come back with, "We'll see who wins this one." It will take a few minutes for Conor to snap out of being humble and then he'll start his verbal assault again. I also wouldn't be surprised if Conor looks into Nate's past, both fighting and personal life, and takes shots at him for that stuff. Nate will just come back with, "Well this guy who has been through all of that still beat your ass."

Conor will say something about whose face looked like what afterward, and Nate will just start repeating who won the fight over and over after everything Conor says. Bottom line it will be entertaining.

An excuse is blaming your loss on an injury or sickness or the like. Saying you fought a larger man and lost. That is not an excuse but simply the truth. If he says he had the wrongs strategy that isn't an excuse. just the truth.

Conor knows that he can't say anything. He will feel that he has to DO something. A brawl. Conor will throw a punch and the 209 crew will jump in. Suspensions will be handed out. You heard it here first.

Well they liked Nate and the PPV buys from 196 enough to make this fight headline UFC 200. So I don't believe you.
They liked Conor enough to do that, it's a chance albeit a slim one for Conor to try and erase history. They won't make this a trilogy unless it's an obvious robbery in the decision or a way too quick stoppage and at that point they really will need to figure out what they're doing with that FW belt.

But if he says he was kicking Nate's ass and Nate got lucky... that's a backpedaling excuse.
