UFC 200 is Going to Be Broadcast in 4K

Hell fucking yeah I'm poor. Loans are going to be raping me too later this year.

I am envious. I would love to play Uncharted 4 on it.
Sadly the PS4 can't handle 4k so it won't matter for uncharted 4...PC games tho on 4k if it can handle it, looks amazing.

Cool, I have a 4k tv, but I cut my directv 2 months ago, bitches were too expensive.

I just got a 4k. Not a lot available in 4k yet but its a sight to behold. It upscales standard hd real well too. Id def get it in 4k if its available on fios.

4K is just a gimmick, it's like the whole 3D thing.
LMFAO.

4k is real...Higher resolutions are not a gimmick at all...They are the future.

3d is a gimmick but with VR becoming popular, 3D has a role to play in the VR environment...and VR isn't a gimmick either, is the real deal.

Welcome to the 4k/VR era.

Gonna be the first even to be in 4K it seems. I work for DirecTV and they have 4K as an option for it. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but I'd guess it will be $5-10 more than HD. If I had a 4K TV I'd spring for the extra to see how it is. Seems like it will be just a one time thing since 199 and 201 just have HD and SD options.
No way I'm payimg $4K for a PPV!

No gonna do it!

Dude 4k is already taking over....Seriously 2 years Max and everybody should be 4king....Doesn't require that much computer power either.

1080p is not fine, at all....If you have a 50 inch plus tv and sit kind of close, 1080p sucks.
No, it doesn't suck. It is perfectly fine. Is 4K better? Sure. But again, it actually DOES require a lot of computing power (why else did you think the price difference is so high?) and there's no major push to make the switch to 4K - the content isn't there for it to take off and the demand isn't there because people generally don't know what 4K means.

In 5 years, everything will be 4K standard the way it's 1920x1080 standard today.

What's the best looking game you've played on the 4K?

LOL wtf is this shit

To be fair, as of right now it kinda is.

Unless your set is very large, it's hard to discern the difference. Also, there is very very limited content in 4k.

Hell, even the name is a gimmick. Until it was deemed 4k, all resolutions were stated as their vertical res. 480, 540, 720, 1080..... but what do they call the next step up? 2160p? Na. Let's call it 4k because it's an easy to trick consumers. And even if you want to completely change from naming something by it's vertical res to its horizontal res, it's still not 4000 lines of horizontal. It's 3840. Yes, this is gimmick marketing.

And yes, the tech itself is impressive, if you can find actual content. Do you really want to go and buy 4k BluRays at like $40 a pop? And when you see 4k on Netflix, keep in mind it is being compressed to fucking hell. It's running at 25Mb/s lol. A lot BluRays that are 1080p are running at 40Mb/s.... Think about that. Sure the audio can be compressed to save a good deal, but the video is absolutely taking hit. Lots of pixels... with reduced contrast.

If you need a new TV make sure to buy a 4k tv. If you don't need a new TV then wait because there isn't much content in 4k yet. No current consoles can handle 4k resolution. Only PC games but you'll need a top notch gaming rig.

Netflix has some 4k programming. Your regular Blu-ray player won't play 4k blu-rays so you'll need to upgrade thar as well. Ufc will prob charge 80 bucks for ufc 200 in 4k.

It's the future but it won't be mainstream for another 2 years.

No it sucks.

Have you seen 1080p on decent size screen from close distance? looks like shit.

I believe more than half TV's 50 inch + are 4k...Hell might be 75% now...and the price difference is worth it.

I agree the Content isn't there but there is enough content IMO

Bingo. There's little content, and what there is overpriced. I'm not buying another Blu Ray player and all my old BluRays again, when they look fucking perfect on my tv.

The only way I'm buying a 4k player is if the next Xbox One consoles that are rumored to be coming out within a year have built in 4k drives on them.
