Borrowing a bit from "Opinion: The intrigue of newness", UFC 200 sofar has no matches that really interest me, even though there are some fighters that are nice to watch. 2 rematches that were not close the first time. Main event isn't even for a belt and Aldo is fighting for an interim. The card sucks big time.

None of the top 8 HW will be there outside of Cain, and at this point, who is Cain?
None of the big 3 LHW's (Jon, DC, Rumble)
None of the big 4 MW's (Luke, Chris, Jacare, Romero)
None of the truly intriguing WW's (Browne Calvin is not too bad though)
None of the intriguing LW, even though there are so many
The top 3 FW will be there, but Conor will be fighting a non interesting rematch at… I don't even know what weight and Aldo Edgar is also not an interesting rematch, and it is for a non-credible fake fake pity belt
No BW, FLW of WMMA.

I know there is more to be added, but if you look at events prior to 200 there are many interesting fighters that normally can't be on 200.

Nobody cares, but with all these pointless rematches (inc Werdum Cain 2 and DC Jon that only are scrapped due to injury) and interim belts coming out of nowhere I'm really losing interest.

Anyway, my two cents.

Browne Calvin is the best ww in the world, show some respect.

Very disrespectful to Aldo and Edgar to let their FANTASTIC fight get overshadowed by the main event. All the reporters will have questions ready for McGregor and the co main participants will sit there looking like fools.

Why the fuck did Edgar and Aldo accept this?

Agreed. It was supposed to be a blockbuster and it will end up being one of those weak PPV that usually end up being this bad due to injuries, except this one was planned

Stupid even business-wise. In the long run, the UFC 200 will be a joke.

it is very disappointing no doubt, especially when compared to 198

the headlining fight, though entertaining, is just not worthy of headlining a landmark card

I think UFC 200 is great. If Aldo beats Edgar then the UFC will have no choice but to give Aldo his rematch. Otherwise they were never going give Aldo his rematch.

It is awesome, I am glad its happening and buying the PPV.

Aldo accepted it because he knows the UFC will never give him a rematch with Conor otherwise. This is great for Aldo.

But I can see how Aldo haters would not like it.

No where near as good as UFC 100 but a very solid card none the less. War Nate.

You mean the card that isn't close to being completed? Why is it hard to understand that there are still 4 or 5 fights that are going to be added still? The card is not finalized so why would people jump the gun on conclusions?

People overrate 100.

Seriously. Two extremely non competive matches on the top of the card. The Bisping KO is really the only huge moment aside from the Lesnar promo at the end. Akiyama/Belcher was a decent fight but never really led to much.

Yes, and that is what I stated as well. But what big matches can be added if you look at the upcoming events? Maybe RDA vs Eddy. Not too stoked about that. But also they are not utilizing who is available. Nate vs any top LW would be good. Holloway vs Aldo and Edgar vs Conor would be better as well.

Just can't please some people I guess

How is it good? It's not about pleasing me, it's about bad timing of fights and a huge lack of creativity in matchmaking.

Bravo, I made a typo and you're not even remotely funny.

If this card was any other UFC event I bet everyone would be much more excited about it. It's a good card. I'll watch it.

They were banking on Ronda being on the card, but she got her brain head kicked so hard she only just got cleared to train again. But right now making terrible movies is her priority.

Conor was supposed to fight GSP or Lawler coming in as a 2 weight champion, but RDA and Nate F'd those plans.

They wanted ppl to buy 198 and not leave it up to Mighty Mouse so they had to keep Jones on.

If they shore up UFC 200 with a Lawler fight, I would be very content.
