Goes to show that it always pays off when you put interesting fighters / draws in title shots. In MMA, anything can happen, and should a charismatic fighter somehow win the title, it adds so much value to the product for the fans.

Whereas the whole Weidman / Rockhold rivalry didn't interest fans (except the hardcore crowd) because of how dull it was, people are loving the shit that went on between Bisping and Rockhold at the post-fight press conference.

Bisping is the man. He carried the conference like a boss, and the back and forth snides with Rockhold captured the fans. That aside, Bisping was a total badass in the Octagon.

I hope the UFC keeps up the good work and gives Hendo the next title shot, instead of a borefest with Jacaré or Weidman.

All thanks to Luke's skills on the mic.
He is a wizard when it comes to talking.

Just short of 1 million views in less than a week. Not bad for a post fight presser.

Happy for Mike. He looked kinda drunk at the post fight conference also lol.

1 million views? Filthy Frank gets 5 million views eating cake made of hair and puke.

I'm not sure which is more cringe-worthy: the fact that you mentioned Filthy Frank or the fact that I know who he is. :/

So does a video of a cat sleeping...wake me up when its a billion views.

Yea especially when they win the title as a huge underdog in dramatic fashion.

That might have something to do with it.

Indeed.

If it was a boring fighter (personality-wise) winning in spectacular fashion as an underdog, no one would have given a shit except a handful few on Sherdog and the UG. But when a charismatic / interesting fighter is put in the same spot, his popularity goes to a whole other level. Case in point : Nate Diaz & Michael Bisping (his google trends indicators are crazy following last week's win).

I think a lot of it has to do with Luke being salty and still talking shit after getting his ass beat. That's what I found amusing.
