The purpose of the law is to avoid shady promoters promising an event they know they can't deliver and then changing it last minute. Therefore the law is more likely to exist in places where lots of fight cards happen. That law does not exist where I live. I don't know where this particular event is talking place.

so your saying i've got a chance?! haha, i know California offers refunds, im hoping Nevada does too.

UFC 149 (the Calgary card) literally had every original fight on the fight card change and sadly that card sold out within 10 mins I believe and broke the Calgary Saddledome's gate record but by fight week most people were looking for refunds. Then on top of that it ended up having possibly the biggest turd of a main card in modern UFC history.

I was looking for some more about you saying it was convenient that Aldo was supposed to be on the card. That part made no sense to me.

I have google for the rest if I need it.

They do, but there is some kind of time frame and I don't know what it is off the top of my head. It might be if the card changes in the last week, or two, or maybe a month. You'll have to find that out. Good luck.
 
Wand x Belfort were scheduled to fight here in Brazil after coaching TUF Brazil, but Belfort pulled off due to a hand injury. Wand ended up facing Rick Franklin.
UFC offered everyone the possibility to get a refund, which a lot of ppl did. I didn't.
Altough, the UFC didnt have much of an option, because our laws say you have to offer refunds in that case.

Yeah, I need to ease off. I think the guy is an amazing fighter, and I am happy to watch him fight. But yeah, his habit of consistently pulling out of fights with injuries is maddening to me.

In this case if he has a broken rib I agree the fight should be rescheduled. He cannot be reasonably asked to fight int hat condition, especially given the publicity the injury has received. But these guys at NU need to take some heat for ruining big fights. Including Aldo and Barao that is at least six title fights that have been canceled in about three years, several of which were never rescheduled.
 
The "card is subject to change" provision does not apply to main events in the state of Nevada. Nevada State Athletic Commission code is very straightforward on the issue of the main event of cards being changed and refund requests are required to be honored.

Under NAC code 467.255 regarding Change or substitution involving main event: Notice by promoter; refund of price of ticket; approval of substitution. Paragraph 2: If such a change or substitution occurs and any patron desires to have the price of his or her ticket refunded, the promoter must refund the patron

So they can advertise 5 title fights in one night then right before the event change it to all TUF 18 losers?
 
In 93. I went to see Metallica. They didn’t show so I saw yanni.
 
Imagine having Sherdog as a guide instead of your own state laws and authorities... Those are what matters at the end of the day.

IF the Aldo/Mcgregor fight is moved to September, will the tickets be transferred to that event?

The interesting thing is while tickets aren't refundable, if you buy a PPV and the main changes you can contact provider for a refund.
