145 is getting pretty stagnant in the UFC. Think about it, who is really left? All a bunch of guys who have already peaked and on the decline. Sure there are some up and comers but nobody who has that Aldoesque aura about them.

Meanwhile Bellator may not have the star power but the top ten matchups are great and they have a deep talent pool if up and comers like Emmanuel Sanchez.

I am finding myself drawn to Bellator’s 145lb division because of the skill level and excitement in those fights.

How do you guys feel?

Don't really feel it's stagnant. Ortega and Holloway are young. Korean zombie and mendes are returning, Frankie and cub aren't going anywhere yet. Still seems solid to me. Aldo still wants to fight too.

I think 145 (UFC) is in a pretty good place, if you ask me...

In my FW top 10 Bellator, you have:
1. Patricio Pitbull
2. Emmanuel Sanchez
3. Pat Curran
4. Daniel Straus
5. John Teixeira
(takes a bit of a drop to the can crushers and journeymen)
6. A.J McKee
7. Henry Corrales
8. Noad Lahat
9. James Gallagher
10. Justin Lawrence

The rest of the division is not really that good. It's mostly very young prospects and complete cans. Prospects would be guys like Borics, Claxton, and Bolanos. They haven't had those fights that would make them worth talking about in detail.

The UFC doesn't really have that huge drop off in talent like Bellator's 145 division after 4-5 fighters. In my opinion, Bellator Featherweight is nowhere near as good as it was 2-3 years ago.

aj isn't a journeymen.

It seems a bit premature to be feeling disillusioned about the featherweight division in the UFC. There's still plenty of talent to be found, whether it's guys who are on the rise like Zabit Magomedshapirov and Alex Volkanvoski, or guys who still have a lot of potential despite recent setbacks like Doo Ho Choi, Josh Emmett, and Yair Rodriguez.

So Pitbull has fought Strauss 4 times and Curran twice. And Curran and Strauss have fought 3 times. And it’s the UFC 145 division that’s getting stale?

How the fuck is Ufc 145 stagnant when the champ has barely defended, the #1 contender is an up and coming prospect and theres guys like Bektic, Zabit, Allen, Zubaira, Volkanovski and on?

Yes that's more stagnant than Pit bull vs Strauss, Weichel, Curran 37

Damn, we've got a bellator fan here. Nice post

Definitely not. He is a can crusher, by definition.

People like to give him the benefit of the doubt because he's not nearly as outspoken as James Gallagher is.

so in u mind james is a can crusher 2 right
