Today we rewatch a fight between a Legend and Wanderlei Silva. Wandy lost, of course. Because, he fought during -what, 27 seconds?- like he used to fight. However, this time he was fighting In the UFC Arena, not in Pride FC ( it is a BIG difference).
Basically, this is the story of the fight:

He's doing okay. Had some issues with drugs for a little while.

Ended up in the hospital a few years during the covid days because of a health scare, I think vaccine but not sure.

He's good now though and runs a school with a bunch of students, speaks at events and stuff for people to get off drugs. Good dude.

Honestly, Leben would have always been a hard match up for Wand. Yeah, I said it. It isn't because he's "better". He just had an insane chin, heavy hands and Wand loved to brawl. Leben had already beaten people that had better skills than he did just on toughness, grit and punching.

And Wand ended up beating Cung Le in his next fight, who had beaten every fighter he'd fought until Wand.

Leben was neither fast or agile but damn his left hand was like the hammer of Thor. IF you hating on Leben besides the TUF incident then you aren't a MMA fan period, he was a walking "JUST BLEED" living meme in every fight.

He's one of those guys that made every fight a spectacle. Win or lose, it was gonna be something exciting.

Wands chin was never the best. He had mad recovery though. But he got dropped by the likes of Tito Ortiz. He'd almost always shoot right up. But its gonna be harder to recover from Leben.
