U.S. report on Russian hacking released.

Is there a link for this? Are there details on how they acted to "undermine public faith in the US democratic process"? Thanks for posting Diamond, but I've been itching to read the big reveal on this whole thing and I think that requires a link to the source.

Even if true: They undermined faith in the democratic process by showing that there was collusion in the democratic process.

Quick! Someone shoot the messenger!

I mean, if I tell North Koreans that Kim Jong Un isn't the tallest man in the world am I doing something wrong? If it was the Russians, they have my thanks!

From my understanding the public was not going to be reading the forensics of the investigation due to classified information.

So... Is there anything we can read? Like, anything at all?

Anything that resembles convincing evidence or is it just more "trust us"?

You have to use your CIA decoder-Jump-to-Conclusion Mat to read it, but essentially the mole in the Russian hack was RT's YouTube channel.

This is really embarrassing. Its like DPRK level propaganda.

RT is state sponsored media and acts at the behest of Putin, why are some insinuating that connection is a weak link?

"We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President elect Trump’s
election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her
unfavorably to him."

How did they do that (if it was them)? By revealing media collusion with Clinton campaign and revealing corruption at DNC? Again, if they did it, they were a godsend.

"state funded media, thirdparty intermediaries, and paid social
media users or “trolls.”"

Ok, yes RT exists and I wouldn't be surprised if they hired trolls (Clinton did it too). So they had their own media that had a narrative that ran counter to our media that had their face in Clinton's ass?

And best of all, they still present NO EVIDENCE!!! I'm seriously unimpressed. All we get are some images of RT and them saying RT is closely related to Kremlin? And some graphs that say RT is a big social media platform?

This report was pathetic. I'm unconvinced.

I only have one question. Aside from the purely illegal action of hacking in general, how is Russian action on influencing opinion on the election substantially different than accepting foreign governmental financing or financing from foreign nationals to help finance an election campaign? Aren't both technically foreign influence working to effect an outcome they desire in a government not their own?

It makes sense. If I had the technology to watch YouTube I wouldn't share that with the world either.
