Tyrone Spong to return at a pro boxing match in Germany, Berlin, March 6

The german commentator claimed that Spong was a football player.....

well... I guess he's black, muscly and lives in Miami... I don't see what else would make them say that.
all you have to do is do a bit of research before the fights you cast. typing tyrone spong in google would have been enough...

The crowd obviously knew who Spong was they really cheered for him when he was entering the ring I would expect o at least commentators know that he is one of the best kickboxers at HW and 95kgs even if they haven't seen a fight it isn't like that's hard to find out

his next fight NEEDS to be on Spike. Boxing, kickboxing, MMA. Dude needs to be primetime

Agreed. Then he should have another fight for Glory.

If, after he's done fighting for WSOF he could get involved with Bellator too. He could become a face of Spike sports.

Crazy mismatch, I don't like mismatches.

I guess the point of this fight was just for Spong to shake off some ring rust and get some confidence back.

The other guy was a clown.
Slaps and hammer fists like a girl fighting in a backyard.
Boxing needs low Level pros to promote new athletes, but clowns should work in a circus.

This does more harm than good to Spong's reputation and credibility IMO.

That German boxing promotion ECB first offered him a tough opponent but Spong's management refused that offer. I think they wanted to give him an easy start in boxing first, I don't think his next opponents will be top level guys either. They have a plan to let him build up a decent boxing-record.

I can understand that but I am not sure I will watch his next boxing bouts.

1 or 2 more tune-up fights and then i would like to see him fight kimbo in a boxingmatch!!

This is juste a waste of resources. Better stick to Kickboxing.
