Tyron Woodley's Unpopularity Explained by Din Thomas

Why aren't you a Woodley fan (if you aren't)?

Bu... but I like Woodley

You're talking about people who voted for president compared to mma fans. Apples to oranges son

No, I'm comparing the suggestion that white people don't want to hear black man speak his mind, with the largest survey possible about whether people want to hear a black man speak his mind.

I'm comparing an apple to an apple, pops.

People that say Tyron could beat GSP

To anyone who has ever paid attention to african history, the n word is not equivalent to white trash. One has a direct link to oppression and slavery used by the oppressive race towards the oppressed, the other does not and its origins come from inside the same race - particularly the southern states. You are playing the victim.

the only reason it was white men who freed stand up for black men is because the black men that stood up for themselves were punished and disregarded. this is a stupid fucking point especially coming from your side of the spectrum.

Another shitty point because the "rules" that were in place were made without equality in mind as a carry over from previous generations. the "status quo" was so because of a more racist time. as society changes, rules change. no way should the status quo remain the same as it always has been.

the parallel to make here is this whole thing going on with schaub and his comments about the all black panel. like, for an analogy, would you not understand that the reason all white panels exist is because of the special treatment white people received because of the oppression of other races? that's the history of the country and things need updating. don't bitch about it just because preferential treatment may not always be given to you now like it would have in the past.

no, holy shit. what i am saying is that in the past and still at present day, white people have always had that help. I am saying to distribute help equally. you have it in your head that white people deserve everything they get and people of color only get things because they get help. that's completely disregarding history. it's like you live in your own world.

History decided which one "hurts" more. and this is so fucking ironic of you to say because you've spent your time in this thread trying to discredit what a black man (Woodley) decided he felt hurt in regards to racism but here you are saying white people are fully capable of doing so.

yeah, do the world a favor and don't parent any children.

done with this one.

Great post! People who think America is equal need to hear this stuff. It's elementary.

Just look at how race comes up even on sherdog.

They didn't say that's all his critics, but a good portion of the Woodley haters fall under that category. Is that true? I don't know, don't think there's a way of really knowing.

And I'm sure most of the people that severely dislike Woodley voted for Obama anyways

It's not racial that's ridiculous. Nobody is afraid of a black guy speaking his mind.
He had very uneventful defenses, and he is his own worse enemy when it comes to promoting himself.

A couple of exciting and entertaining fights (KO wins/wars) is all he needs to win prople over.

He could win his next five fights by first round KO, and the majority of people still wouldn't like him.

No one liked Ali because you couldn't relate to him, right? Such a dark horse.

I like Tyron. Yes, his last few fights were boring. He has been afraid to take chances... I really think he could have pushed the action more with Maia, for example. Not so much with Wonderboy, that fight was dangerous. He is an intelligent guy, and that comes out in his fighting.

I think Tyron has been through a lot in his life, and is a bit sensitive. But it makes him a better person. I have a lot of admiration for him.

He is also really handsome, which doesn't hurt.

What the heck are you talking about
It was in reference to your "dumb post" comment about whites voting for a black president. I thought you were saying that it wasn't a "reality". Just providing the population stats showing that Obama would have had to have had a lot of white people vote for him in order to win the election.

Knocked Lawler the fuck out within seconds and turned Thompson into lunch meat in their first fight.

I have to ask what reality you live in?
The Lawler fight was great and that's why I said everyone expected him to be vicious in all of his fights. You say he turned Thompmson into lunch meat but that was only in about 20 seconds worth of fighting in a hilariously boring 25 minute fight.

Yeah I get all that. Just because he got a portion of them to vote for him doesn't make the other portion who didn't disappear. We had 8 years of vocal hatred towards the former president.

he is possibly the most boring champ ever and calls racism when people dont want to watch him

Come on, Woodley, quit hiding behind these made up accounts... this particular post is ridiculous. Also, it is the UFC stands for the Ultimate FIGHTING Championship not the Ultimate SURVIVAL Championship. No one can tell you how to fight, how to act or what to say as you are your own man and I do understand holding the belt provides more money for your family but don't be surprised that you get shit on for your performances if you are going to do it that way. You are looking out for your own interests and that is a part of life but the "Just Bleed Gods" are going to make fun of you every chance they get and it has nothing to do with the color of your skin. Deal with it like a man.

True but so did Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan and now Trump. Is normal. Imagine if Trump were black... you'd get everyone screaming "racism" but since he is not, they just scream "dumbass". Remember, half of the country is conservative and the other half is liberal so that means that half of the country was never going to like him anyway, even if he was a white guy. The democrats just jumped all over the "black thing" as a way to keep people from insulting him but it didn't work. Remember, we are an "equal opportunity" country when it comes to everything, including hate.

Millions voted against Obama, and hated him like no other. Fox news complained about every little thing he did, like never before

But regardless of that, most people don't like Woodley because he comes off as a complainer and whiner, and because he beat some fan favorites.

People were also hating on rashad on here, doesn't make any sense. Rashad is great
You mean like the millions who voted against Bush, Clinton and Trump? MSNBC and CNN have trashed Bush and Trump throughout their presidencies. Is normal, unless you've been living in your mother's basement playing Nintendo. It's called politics.

His race baiting gimmick has been growing on me but the payoff has to come soon before it’s getting stale.

I don't really dislike Woodley. I chuckled at some of the poll choices, so well done, TS.

I think he's a smart guy. But he did race bait a bit in the build up to the Thompson fights, which I find very tiresome. And he's been in some really damn boring fights lately.

Generally I tend to support the plight of the African American community. In Tyron’s case, he’s just a strange personality. I don’t think skin color has anything to do with his unpopularity. If you watch him on Rogan’s podcast, it is evident just how unrelateable his personality is.
"the plight of the African American community"? You racist motherfucka!
