Tyron Woodley will destroy Robbie Lawler

I've seen stranger upsets in the sport.

However, the most likely outcome is Woodley getting trapped up against the fence in his defensive shell and then getting slaughtered by an aggressive flurry from Lawler.
This. Woodley's a good fighter, he'll make it a fight... for a while.

Lawler's got that freakish power, it's safe to say he hits harder than anyone Woodley will have ever fought before. Nothing against T-Wood but he's in over his head here. Gonna be a bloodbath.

Woodley will fight scared, fail on takedown attempts, gas and get beat up badly. Probably a round 3 or 4 TKO for Lawler, or a lopsided decision where Lawler whoops Woodley for the last 3 rounds or so.

Tyron is one of the best athletes in MMA, but there are some traits of a great fighter that he's definitely lacking. Honestly, he's a fighter that is only at his best when front running. As soon as adversity comes about in a fight, he does not come back well. He'd need to put Robbie away early, because Robbie is an animal and will be there the whole duration. I just don't see Tyron doing that.

Also, Lawler has played it super safe the first two rounds in his last few fights; this lessens the chances of Woodley having an early finish and ensures he gets dragged into the later rounds.

Going against the AntiChrist I dear not

Woodley never fought under the IV ban, so will he make weight?

woodley will wake up the following tuesday wondering why he's wearing a neck brace

Woodley got shut down with jabs by Rory. His striking is fast and powerful but not overly skilled. Lawler by 4rd tko.

Wood over 14 months without a fight (or an injury) dude gave himself ring rust waiting for a shot. Tall order to beat Robbie Lawler. Wood takes it to the mat early and often and he can win.

For all those completely discounting Woodley, don't forget that he could always pull a Hendricks and burn up a few rounds hiding between Lawler's legs. Hendricks found the safespace in the octagon.

Using picture of manhoef kicking Robbie's leg, when literally the next sequence is lawler knocking him cold ... As proof that lawler will lose ... I don't get it.

Gonna be a good fight. Does Woodly have anywhere near the power in his leg kicks as Melvin Manhoef?
no to woodleys kicks compared to manhoef. Only reason manhoef lost the lawler fight was his lack of defence to his weak chin. Also doubt anyone destroys robbie with any standup offence. Woodley would need to jake sheilds lawler for any kind of destruction.

woodley always chokes in big fights and does absolutely nothing but stare at his opponent and freeze up or hold them up against the fence for three rounds
his striking is not better than lawler's and he is not a dynamic enough wrestler to take robbie down

all that said, i think woodley is going to get a freak first round KO like bisping just to throw a wrench in UFC's plans because that always seems to happen in shitty match ups like these where the challenger is undeserving

I agree Woodley too quick and aggressive for Lawler.

I doubt it, I think it will be a really fun fight but I see Lawler coming out on top, still excited for it though.

If by destroy you mean lay on him as hard as he possibly can then yes, I agree.

I think you are on to something. Really. I think Woodley is going to be an issue first and maybe second rounds.
So how did Nick knock Robbie out so easily?
