Tyron Woodley on Potential Matchup with Khabib

The beatdown will look worse than Barboza and Johnson combine.

True. Also Woodley is a lot more active and has better cardio, a lot better grappling and ground and pound.

Jake Shields is a better version of Woodley though with better striking skills.
 
Tyron likes to fight with his back on the cage and Khabib likes to put people on the cage

I see a 25 minute stalemate against the fence, better get Cruz or DC on commentary to hype up the underhook battle.
 
I still cant believe he knocked out robbie...The division would have been so much better off with him losing. I dont think ive ever been less interested in the WW champ then 2017.
 
Id like to see that fight. Just want to see khabib vs any great wrestler instead of given stylistically easy matchups

LMAO!

I don't think Woodley and Khabib are similar at all.
Woodley uses wrestling mostly to keep the fight standing and / or pressure guys against the fence at times, while Khabib uses it to take guys down, control them from the top and beat em up.

The intriguing thing about this match up is Woodley's defensive wrestling vs. Khabib's offensive wrestling.

How do you know so little about this sport you're supposedly a fan of?
 
Maybe champ vs champ but Tyron knows its a super tough fight and ain't happening unless he's getting paid.
 
Tyron will stick to the fence and focus on TDD like he did with Maia. Khabib will fail to get him down, Woodley will land 1-3 shots, and the winner will be Woodley via UD in a boring Woodley/ Maia style fight.

GSP/ Khabib though....
 
That would be a great fight. Both were very respectful too. I'm hoping for Ty v GSP though.

Khabib would strike enough to win Woodley did nothing but the bare minimum to win that fight on points and Maia did just enough to let it happen. No way in hell will Khabib gas after the third from shooting for meaningless takedowns he can't get. Woodley won't be able to lay back and wait for single legs shots from Khabib while what throwing 12 punches a round.

Yeah. Woodley can't fight Khabib the way he fought Wonderboy and Maia, that's for sure. He has a history of gassing. I actually think Tony is a harder fight for Khabib. Although we still haven't seen Khabib's reaction if he gets hit flush which is the remaining big question for him.
 
Khabib is a superior wrestler than Maia. Maias Jitz is insane, but his chain wrestling though good, is not as good as Khabibs.

If anyone had a chance at getting Woodley to the floor, it's The Eagle, or GSP.

I for one, would be interested to see this fight.

Nah.

Khabib wants his opponents with their back to the cage. Tyrone willingly puts himself there.

Maybe the size difference would be too much but style wise, Tyrone literally gives Khabib his favourite type of fight.
