His act is just annoying. I don't bother to watch his fights either.

This is just like when those idiots at the NAACP claimed a space themed graduation card was racist, because it mentioned a "black hole". They're just trying to hard to find offence. All this race baiting is the equivalent of crying wolf. The more obnoxious people are in crying racist over everything, the more they'll turn mainstream people against them. In the end Hallmark just removed the cards, instead of caving into the "shake down" and paying the NAACP money for nothing.

After the Wonderboy fight Twood gave props to Thompson saying he had a big heart and the trash talk leading up was marketing. I found myself starting to respect him especially after beating Wonderboy, who's one of the best strikers I've seen in ages.

I think Woodley felt he should have gotten a lot more love when he became champ, and when he didn't feel that he couldn't handle it, now we see him saying all this racist garbage that anyone with half a brain will see is nonsense. He's alienating his fan base imo. And he's doing it on purpose.

Folks latch on to it because when you make everything about race by direct language or implication IT IS DIVISIVE. People don't like it. They don't like the negativity. Most of us whites aren't racist. If you are crying all the time about what a raw deal you are getting because of your race, and how this "other race" is doing it to you, you're forcing people to take a side. If they don't think the way you think (not everyone thinks you're the victim you do Tyrone) then it becomes really divisive and folks latch on to it.

But he's not making "everything" about race. He's had A LOT of air time where he wasn't talking about race. That's the point I was making.

I wasn't calling TS out on the dumb part, but people in this thread, and other Tyron hating threads often say it. Nelson is pretty widely thought of as one of, if not the dumbest guy on the roster, which is why i brought him up.
And again, as I said in my prior post, the majority of you guys are going off of out of context quotes and snippets. Ive listened to the guy's podcast and his interviews. He's not a moron. It's moronic to think you can understand ones racial and political views from a tweet or a soundbyte. He's spoken at length about his thoughts on this, it's there for people that actually care to hear what he has to say. You might not agree with it, but he isn't some lunatic just making up crazy shit.
People do this with Conor as well. They hear one thing he said at a press conference, or yelled in passing, and on the fly, and then ignore the hours of lengthy, detailed interviews he's done where he breaks down exactly what he feels, and how he came to feel that way. People are fucking lazy and think reading a tweet is good enough research on a person

And your post is proof that you dont know much about him either. He has talked about his own "drawing power" on his podcast, and he seemed to know exactly where he was at.

I watched some of his interviews and yes he isnt a lunatic and when he isnt talking about himself, fighting or his views on racial issues he actually sounds likeable at times. But then he comes out again with stuff like saying wonderboy fans are connected to the KKK, trying again to avoid thompson even though it was a draw and acting like he is the matchmaker. And non of this stuff was out of context. Also you shouldnt have to watch a depth interview of someone just to make some of the stuff he said seem less stupid.. How about him not posting that in the first place? And I mean stuff from his interviews too, its not just social media which I dont care about much anyway. I actually tried to like the guy but it aint easy. If he is playing the heel role he does a pretty good job.

And im aware that for sure there are some idiots who send him racist stuff. But he should be able to differ trolls from actual fans or just get off the social networks..
