If he beats till or usman and obviously the colby/rda winner then I see no reason why he cant be in contention for GOAT welterweight top 3 of all time. No one can dispute this fact.

The only guy that can stop him right now is rda because he is the worst matchup for him and maybe ponzinibbio. Unfortunately both are at a severe disadavtange due to difference in size, speed and strength. They would need to have the perfect night to beat woodley. Same goes for till. If tyron is in form then he really would destroy everyone in this division.
 
He beats all of them imo, when he finally gets his goal of getting a money fight at the end of his career while being Champ is when he'll retire. GSP and Woodley imo are the best WW ever.


GSP Vs Woodley would be legendary. They need to set this up.

A lot of ifs in that statement. Let's see him defend against someone who isn't one dimensional. Then we can talk. He has his hands full. That's all I know. The last time he fought someone well rounded, his name was Rory Macdonald. Enough said.

I think his loss to Shields prevents him from being WW GOAT. I know people improve and stuff, but I would honestly rank Shields above him.

Shields resume doesn't get enough credit imo, just cus he was crazy boring. Makes what GSP did even more impressive. But styles do make fights, and I agree Woodley is stylistically more problematic for Georges than Jake.

Woodley also has the loss to Rory that makes his status as WW GOAT problematic.

Being a dominant champ is not enough to be considered a potential GOAT.
 
I'm sick of Woodley acting like hes some great dominant champion. The guy has only defended his title 3 times, and 2 of those fights were against the same person, and that's in 3 years. It's a joke. He need another 5 wins at least before he earns the status he thinks he has.
