How many are enforcing it? Nearly every social media account you sign into and email provider require MFA. Multiple streaming platforms require it. Even signing into YouTube will require you to authenticate it's you through a separate device and that's also another form of MFA.

Literally nothing you mentioned requires MFA. What country do you live in where that is your experience? For the primarily American sherdog userbase nothing on the Internet requires MFA. At best maybe a couple banks do, not mine though. A karate forum that doesn't contain any confidential information not only implementing it but mandating it is absolutely ludicrous. No other site does this. Enjoy your dead forum. Just don't pretend you weren't warned.

That's my conspiratardy theory about this as well. Whoever SD is selling our information to told them "Look, your data would be more valuable if it was harder to steal. Implement 2FA and we will pay you more". Ultimately, it IS about security, but not in our interests.

But with all users gone, there won't be any data left to sell. So that doesn't really make sense. Maybe they just want to shut down the forum and this is their slow way of "accidentally" doing it.
