Two steps verification on Sherdog WTF??

I initially figured they were implementing SMS authentication specifically to stop dummies from making 100 accounts. This reason seems to come from a place that assumes you need to protect user info.

I doubt xenforo knows what Sherdog is. They probably just recommend it to every customer because they assume everyone wants added security.

You guys got me using whatsapp now so I can stay in touch with legends like @StonedLemur

2FA should be optional for the user unless there is some other reason not being said for this implementation

I went in to enable and there's only code from app or email

Is it on the app you get 10 backup codes? I thought you'd get an email with them

I don’t understand the recent changes. I’ve been coming on significantly less since they did the update months ago that made the site damn near unusable.

I don’t get it. Why do I need be forced to use the 2FA again? Because Xenforo ”strongly recommended it”? That’s not a reason.

I used to use reddit with a 3rd party made app, it was great. They (reddit) shut down the API so no one could use those 3rd party apps anymore and everyone would have to use reddit’s own app, so I quit reddit for good. I used it for 10+ years or so, never logged back in.

Keep making questionable decisions with the forum and I might make one, too.
