Okay guys so I logged out and back in. From what I can understand every time we attempt to log in it will prompt us to enter a code that is automatically sent to our email. We put the code in and we'll be logged in and remain logged in for 30 days. After the 30 days I assume we will have to log in again via the way I already explained which will be valid for another 30 days. As far as the 10 codes we got I'm pretty certain those are only used in cases of our accounts being compromised.

Ya, the site was great ~10-15 years ago, but the way they moderate is out of control, all while accusing other media platforms of being biased.

It’s difficult to get around bans. They not only IP ban you, but also device ban you. So if you try to create a new account on the same computer/phone, it will get insta banned. You either have to use a virtual machine + VPN, or get a new device and never log into the new account on your old device (or old account on your new device). When I eventually got a new phone, I was able to create an account, and now I just stick to a few hobby subs.

Never really thought about that. I’ll sign up next time with a new phone. Thanks for the heads up lol. They’re their own worst enemy though for sure.

I think you can get around that by just changing your email to a new one unless it's required that you verify the old Email too.

In a week, we'll automatically require the verification. This means you'll be greeted on the login screen when you come here next week with a "let's set up the 2FA" before you log in. The process is a simple one-time update.

You add your email address (or phone number) to your account privately, and the system sends your email or phone a short code. You plug the code in when logging in (it'll give you a spot for it) and that's it. You can tell it to remember your computer for a month, but all that will be required from you is to add that extra bit of info so that it can lock down as your account.

We don't have access to the phone number or email address you have registered to 2FA, it's stored on the server in a secure place. We can make a thread on Support with screenshots showing how to do it.

Does this mean the forum will no longer allow bots to make posts or will those continue? Will there be more transparency regarding which posts are bot-generated and which are human-generated?

Nah I think this is the straw that broke the camels back in my 19 years here I have seen a lot of Armageddons but this might be it the finalgeddon...I need to think of a better name.

I have an authenticator for work. If you guys don't have one, you need an app, its free. Microsoft or google authenticator. Download it. Follow the steps in the link, change password. When you get to 2nd step use your app you downloaded and hit add account. You take a pic of QR code and you are done. Just save the codes they give you. As long as I don't have to do it every time, this is no big deal.

Tried scanning one to get a restaurant menu cuz starved and no physical copy.

Phone didn't recognize it or do literally anything. Good man.

Anyway, in this case, how the hell do you "scan a QR code with your phone camera app" when it's displayed on the phone screen? Sounds like a pricey phone camera attachment would be needed.

The app knows to scan the code when you hit add an account. Sometimes restraunt QR code’s don’t work bc you aren’t using anything but your phone camera.This one requires the app so its easy. I’m forced to learn tech but I don’t care for it. If I find it easy, it’s easy.

Have to say, been watching the past few UFC events via Discord, and it's a damn slick platform for watching an MMA event.
