Health Two exercise related questions...

Bowflex went out of business, but my favorite piece of equipment is their TreadClimber. It is basicly a treadmill and step climber in one. Burns crazy calories with no impact on your knees.

I have the ironmaster super bench.

It's very versatile. It has a ton of accessories that you can buy to enable you to do other exercises, but it's a great way to save money because you only get the ones you need.

I like this guy, since I dont have much room anymore. Put it in front of the tv or whatever, and just do hangs, leg raises, pull ups, and dips. Too unstable and not enough height left for muscle-ups, but that not important at the start or anything. Oh, it’s cheap too. That’s great.

I like that painting on the wall, even if it is a bit crooked ;)

That’s good. I love these things, and they are not expensive. I mix them up. I sometimes start feeling weird pain on my elbow doing too much of one type. Chin ups are definitely harder on it than pull ups.

Yeah, I get a sharp pain on my elbow joints when doing chin ups. Being near 265lbs and nearing 40 doesn't help. I do like doing them though. Good for posture too.

Sometimes its too hot/cold outside to want to do cardio.

When its sitting in the lounge room behind the couch, a couple of metres away, its pretty damn difficult to find a reason not to use them.

My issue is mud.

Winter this year has been fairly mild, but very rainy and my route is a big hill that goes into a woods near the top. It's called St Ann's Hill in Chertsey.

The future is really getting creepy

I really need to get that cheap shit Amazon couch out of my flat and replace it with one of these...

Yes sir. It does absolute wonders for that. After a year or so of doing daily hangs and such, my posture is the best it’s ever been and I have far less pains in my back and spine. It’s worth it for that alone imo.

Came here to see pics of Chuck on the Total Gym. @Intermission did not disappoint.
I've been indoctrinated by those commercials as a kid. too lazy to change the channels and stayinh Up all Night at summers. They had those stupid things on repeat. Little did I know of His background. I thought it was a cowboy who threw kicks in jeans who sold out.

i have a stationary bike personally and love the workout it gives me. like others, id recommend that. its also good if youre short on space (i hoard stuff lol), mine is in my living room and hardly takes up anything. put something on the tv and hop on x

this.

i put my bike in the living room because i knew if i put it in the spare room id funnily enough talk myself out of doing it. like oh, i have to get up and walk over two gates (for the bunnies) to exercise? TOO MUCH  or it would just be outta sight outta mind. but in the living room its there to stare you down every day, what excuse do you have to not put some time in? none. if youre going to sit on the couch and watch something, you can sit on the bike instead, workout, and be productive.

Hello.all,

1) If you could pick one machine for home exercise, what would it be?

2) I'd like a freestanding punch bag that doesn't move or sway. Any recommendations?

I'm going a punching bag. And I have a free standing one at home I bought during COVID, it's not bad, the ones you hang are a lot better for mine.

Laziness is a very powerful and reasonable influence on one's behaviour, imho.

When it's too hot/cold outside we, hoomans, want to chill under A/C or a warm blanket rather than sweat on some treadmill. Usually.

P s. In this case, I'm not speaking about true Sherdoggers who have iron will, and adamantium self-discipline, and endless motivation to make gains...
