A 89 year old marketing firm with 54K employees worldwide sought out sponsors to fight misogyny within online video games. Instead it fabricated data targeting a specific game.

Selling peripherals from these sponsors wasnt the goal. Since these sponsors already directly funded women only esport events. To them it was a public service sponsorship.
