Twisted Metal: Exclusive Poster Debut for Peacock’s PlayStation Adaptation

Could be cool as an action comedy if the go for it with over the top violence and make it a "R" rated experience. I'll probably give it a chance

Somehow they find some romance in the storyline, with some kid characters.

Captain Falcon should have been using cassette tape for authenticity.

A Twisted Metal show? What a bizarre IP to get adapted to film or television. I mean there’s been a lot of film and tv adaptations of video games lately, but this one seems a bit different in that the franchise has been dormant a really long time. Twisted Metal was huge back in the PS1 days but that’s it basically. It’s not like Mario or Sonic or Mortal Kombat which have continued to release games over the last 30 years.

I guess I should cross my fingers for a Quake 2 show getting made then??

Wasnt thumper the only one who was black?

Oh wait. Mr grimm too. Played the shit out of that game. Always used thumper or warthog

The old games were pretty much dark comedy style especially with Calypso being a dick with his wish granting. I'll watch it because I'm a huge fan of the games, hoping we get a good new game eventually.

The cast has a nice variety to it as well with some good notable names, so I have faith in it.

Written by the guy who did Cobra Kai?

I'm in.

Counting on him to turn nostalgia into fun dumbness that is somehow better than it should be.

never played the game

Damn bro you missed out.

Twisted Metal was basically Mario Kart for teenagers with mental problems.

I remember stealing the disc right out of the display playstation, in the middle of the department store. Me & my friends then proceeded to play the shit out of it that whole summer. Good times

I missed the generation of video games which came after Sega genesis until basically the very end of the PS2.

my first foray back into gaming was Vice city- I stopped playing regularly about 10 year ago as well.

Does anyone remember that game that was sort of a copy cat of Twisted Metal? Vigilante 8?

Really good game. Most of the environmental objects were destructible, too. It was a spinoff of the Interstate 76 PC game.
There was also Critical Depth (an underwater "car" combat game) and Rogue Trip, both of which were made by the guys who did TM 1&2 (Singletrac).
Oh and Dead in Water but that one sucked.

I thought twisted metal 2 was the best game.

So much fun, especially the Paris level. And the character minion you could use with a cheat code.

There was a Star Wars one too made by the Vigilante 8 guys. Hell even a WWE one.
After Twisted Metal Black the former Singletrac guys made War of the Monsters. @Pliny Pete Which looks like your type of game.
