Twins Headgear

Im looking to buy some twins headgear. Just looking for some recommendations? I was considering the HGL-3.

Also anyone got any experience with buying online from Thailand?
Muay Thai Fighting Boxing Equipment, Gear, Gloves, and Shorts Store seems to get good reviews on ebay.

Seems way cheaper than my gym...am I likely to get screwed at customs? Im in Canada...

Nope! In Toronto and just received a large package from them, $0 tax/custom/duty, nothing!

They mark everything as a gift and at a lower price automatically. You can send them an email just to be sure, they are very prompt.

As for twins...stiff as hell!

I had a Twins and didn't like it for the same reasons. Look into Gorilla Fight Gear's headguard. The owner spends a lot of effort in his R&D and I'm pretty sure his headgear will be better than Twins. Especially if he's touting it as having more protection than a winnings fg2900. GFG is also based out of Canada so shipping should be cheaper for you.

Yikes! If you want to order from them you'll have to be willing to wait. Especially if you want a special colour since it may be "made to order".

Twins usually takes the longest out of all the manufacturers

Twins Special - approximately 4-8 weeks (normally 7 weeks)

Don't forget to add shipping which can be as many as 3-4 weeks (or as little as 3 days, depending on shipping method) on top of that!

I agree with the above posters, recommend looking into Gorilla fight gear. Rival has some nice new headgear out as well!

I like Rival gear, it has beautiful design especially boxing gloves.

I am still waiting for the new rival d30 inteli shock headgear to come out...its due to come out at the end of this month

I got the d3o gloves: nicest gloves I own. Comfy, lightweight, and stylish. Not sure if the d3o is worth it just yet, but the overall design is definitely superb.
