Television TV shows with no likable characters

Yellowstone was a bit rough.

Rip was ok at times, Casey was harmless, billy or whatever his name was was amusing, but everyone else was insufferable.

I remember there were a few but I dropped them quickly, don't even remember what they were. If the writers can't make you give a shit about any the characters they fucked up.

Every for months my wife and I try a new show and all the characters are unlikable. Doesn’t matter if the story or directing is good. I cannot enjoy a show with everyone asshole.

Likable show, but all the charactors as individuals were so unlikable.
Ray: whiny pussy
Debra: stuck up bitch
Robert: another whiny pussy
Frank: just an asshole
Marie: crazy self centered cunt

Love the show.

I’d argue that Debra and Robert were quite likable on most episodes. Sure, they had their issues (Robert on the Raybert episode is at his lowest) but, overall, I thought they came across as consistently well-meaning people. Sure Debra could be mean to Ray but she was also in a very tough situation. Ray wasn’t ever vying for husband of the year and she had to deal with her in laws constantly while her own parents- who generally were very kind to Ray as well as his brother and parents- were dismissed and disrespected.

Marie could be absolutely atrocious at times. Frank was almost always a jerk, but he wore it on his sleeve. Marie it was a lot of passive aggression and subtle insults.

Not to mention Amy, who became a regular in the last few seasons, was likable.

pretty much every character in Parks & Rec is likable imo

I found Leslie, Ben, Chris Traeger, ANN PERKINS, Gergich, Ron Swanson, Donna, Andy- all likable, flaws and all.

But April and Tom really walked a fine line for me. Not irredeemable, mind you. They showed positive traits. But they could be really frustrating.

If you’re comparing the likability of that overall group to the Dunder Mifflin crew, I think it leans heavily toward Parks and Rec.

Yeah, Amy was likable. And I really liked the show, I still watch it occasionally. But I find all of those charactors so annoying. Part of it is how much I hate the “Happy wife, happy life” bullshit narrative that television has always pushed. They really shove it down your throat in Raymond. Ray just needed to tell Debrabto STFU and get naked.

The League. All terrible people.

Still hilarious though.
